The rooms were European colonial age style with high ceilings and nice amenities. The pool was nice and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The meals, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. When the hotel vacancy level is low they switch from a buffet style breakfast to a set menu with a number of options with both of equal quality. While remote a small town with restaurants and amenities is only 10 minutes walk away and the hotel is across from the Bali Safari Park.

This is the place where I did my proposal in the magical chapel they have in their resort which is kind of like the Crown Jewel of the resort. Absolutely beautiful and magical place this is which has left me in awe! The entire management the rooms, the view, the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful, I am overwhelmed with emotion! Knowing I am doing my proposal here, they even upgraded me to the Ocean View Suite which is honestly the best and the most wonderful suite I’ve ever stayed in. The entire staff, the elegant lady at the reception, the duty manager, Yoga, Ani and a lot of other made our stay so please Ira ke, it’s beyond words. Mr Lufi is a master at photography who took the most wonderful photos of our event so professionally, he should be lauded for it! Mr Dika who processed them and provided me with the photos also another gem of a person. I will run out of people but can’t thank enough of them for this stay at a hidden gem of Bali in Gianyar! Absolute perfection! All our love to Rumah Luwih Bali for making this the most memorable and wonderful trip of our lives!

2 stars for the housekeeping staff and the restaurant staff at the hotel, everything else was not a 5 star experience to say the least. 1st the property was false advertising the selected room and when I reached out and confirmed the marketing was false they took no accountability, Expedia had to pay the difference for the room change in order for me to proceed with my stay. The property needs major renovations to be considered 5 star. Our room ceiling would leak in the bathroom when it rained, cabinets in restroom falling off, no ligting on the balcony, no chairs or seating area to enjoy the ocean views, we had to move indoor furniture to the balcony. I found staff at the reception to be rude and dismissive when a item of clothing went missing at the pool. The beach in front of the property is dirty and not enjoyable. I even seen a man deficating in the ocean while I was taking a stroll around the property. The only working AC on the property is the rooms, everywhere else its extremely hot and uncomfortable. The other thing I felt odd was no spa menu available, only in reception and had to take a picture for reference, the hotel missed out of hundreds by following this practice. When I ran into deciptive marketing that should've been clue to avoid at all cost but I proceeded and take full accountability. My stay was definitely regretful. I will not return nor would I recommend to anyone seeking a 5 star property.

Don't be fooled. This is not a 5-star property. For everything you ask, the staff will give an answer that we are under new management and ongoing changes. No workable gym. Excuse - We are under renovation. No activities. You can feed the swans which roam at the property, a pathetic excuse for an activity. I didnt see even a child doing this and no staff even showed up at 4 p.m. for the activity. Minifridge in a 5-star property supposed to have a few items (chargeable). I open it, it is empty and not even working. No lotion or hand towel. I can go on and on. They have one omelette station and limited items, but their prices are like you are eating in a real western 5-star. Service and food are far from it. PLEASE BE SURE THEY ARE NOT STEALING YOUR PERSONAL DATA. After repeatedly saying no, I was surprised to receive an email - welcome new IHG member. What???? I contacted Expedia and IHG right away, spending time on my holiday with customer care, and finally IHG support person told me that your account was created by front desk. Is this a joke? The staff will trick you and when confronted with IHG chat, she accepted that she did that, even going to the point that it is free. Again, no explanation or even a sorry for doing something which I declined three different times during my check-in and within an hour of being there. STAY AWAY!

Great property with swimming pool and beach view. It is far from almost everything. If you want to visit Bali and want to be away from everything and can do with very limited dinning options, this place might be for you. To get around from this property to anywhere around , give yourself a hour of travel time. For our next visit, we will pick somewhere closer to Sanur or Ubud.

Not quite the Bali experience you might expect.

The hotel grounds are very beautiful and the view of breaking waves is relaxing. The hotel is 'on the beach' but the beach sand is covered with debris; the hotel bordered by two small rivers with fast water emptying into the ocean so impossible to walk the beach far at all. So, don't think about a long walk on the beach. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Free use of bikes is unrealistic as the speeding motorbikes, sometimes on the road shoulder make a bike ride unsafe.
