Tortuga House was just exactly what my husband & I needed, a very quaint little cottage with everything you need. As it is on the less windy side of the island we were always able to comfortably be out side and enjoy the beautiful view. A very peaceful, comfortable & cozy place we will always have fond memories of. Thanks so much for sharing this special home with us.

About this house - I have only three words of advice. BOOK IT NOW!!!The photos do not really do it justice, it is so comfortable and clean The lawn and yard down to the beach and boat slip are beautiful and very well kept. The southern views are some of the most beautiful views on the island with the added bonus of being the ideal place for both beautiful sunrise for the early risers and perfect sunsets ever evening. The two bedrooms was perfect for the two of us and we felt right at home the instant we walked in. The washer/ dryer makes your travel so much easier. Everything you need to bring can easily fit into one small bag (leave your socks at home). Spotless upon arrival and the beds were very comfortable. The owners and caretaker/manager were very quick to respond to any questions or issue that came up. We booked it for two weeks and wished we could have stayed longer. We will surely be back.

Lovely!

Tortuga House is a peaceful retreat on the quiet side of the island. We enjoyed the privacy and incredible views.

A Week in Peaceful Paradise

My wife and I just spent an amazingly peaceful week at Tortuga House . The cottage was lovely , the hosts were prompt and caring and the location was beautiful . We will definitely be returning .

Ultra relaxing

Tortuga house was absolutely perfect for our family of four. The property was very serene and most certainly in a quiet part of the island. We loved having access to a kayak and spent a ton of time in the swings! We would definitely return. Thanks for sharing your property!

Fantastic beach house

The Tortuga House is a wonderful Oceanside property. All the amenities one could ask for are provided. The location is quiet and serene. I could not recommend it highly enough. A must go.

Paradise

My family recently returned from our stay at the Tortuga. The house was perfect had everything we needed. We loved sitting in the gazebo every morning overlooking the stunning water views. My girls enjoyed sitting in the hammock swings to read or just hang. The Tortuga house is a slice of paradise! Can't wait to return next year.

What can we say , our second trip to Tortuga house was as great as our first . The house , the Host and Drex and Dee were fantastic . The best view and peace and quiet were just what we needed . Thanks again we will be back !

Great stay

Very cozy house with a great view. It’s definitely off the beaten path which makes it very quiet and private. The road back to the house was very rough which we were prepared for. Just rent a small suv at minimum. Very good communication with the owner.

What an Amazing Place!

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The owner, Helen, was excellent with communication and was a great owner to work with! The property manager, Drex, was super nice and professional. He ensured the property was ready when we arrived and we were not disappointed. The pictures don't do the outdoor space of Tortuga justice. We enjoyed having the gazebo for coffee in the morning. The hammock and swings were our favorite part though. It was so nice to have the hammocks and swings every afternoon with a perfect breeze to just hang out in after returning from the beach. We had a nice consistent breeze so no issues with outdoor bugs. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait until we return!

A slice of Paradise

From moment we arrived it felt like heaven on earth! From the meticulously landscaped grounds to the well appointed cottage, everything exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was stocked with an abundance of spices and cooking utensils. There were games, books, snorkeling equipment along with a two person kayak paddle board. The bedrooms we also nicely decorated and the beds so comfortable you could sleep easily.This was our 7th trip to Exuma and by far the best! We look forward to our next visit. Helen was a very responsive and accommodating host.

Perfect Bahamian Getaway!

A truly stunning location with a very well appointed and beautiful house. Helen's home was the private, out-of-the-way retreat we were looking for, with everything we possibly wanted. It was exactly as described but still exceeded our expectations! Communication was great and clear. Go fish with Drex too, always a good time. Can't wait to return!

Heaven is at Tortuga House

Incredible stay! The photos don't do justice to the beauty of the place! If you're looking for tranquility, combined with a breathtaking ocean, a fully equipped home and impeccable communications with Helen, don't hesitate to book Tortuga House. The hammocks, the lanai to keep the voracious mosquitoes away, the kayaking and paddleboarding - all the ingredients were there to make this place a paradise. Many thanks to Helen for opening the doors to us. I'd recommend renting a jeep to tackle the bumpy, winding road back to your paradise.

Amazing place in paradise

Tortuga house was beyond belief. The views were spectacular. And the water was crystal clear and perfect. The house was set up so well with the screened in back patio away from the insects. The gazebo over the water was probably th best spot on the island to watch the sunrise and sunsets. Helen our host was amazing and responded instantly to questions. Th kitchen was awesome. Even had sharp knives which for a chef is a picky subject for me. Overall this place deserves a 6 star review

Piece of heaven…

Our stay at Tortuga was amazing! The property is exactly as described! The location is a perfect hideaway on the south side of the island, offering privacy yet the beauty of Exuma. The property is well stocked for your wants & needs, from the kitchen to the sunroom. The host, Helen, is very nice, helpful & easy to reach. I cannot say enough about this property, what I can say is that we will be back!

Great getaway!

The Tortuga house had the most magnificent view! The back yard was just gorgeous! We loved sitting outside taking it all in. My husband and I enjoyed using the tandem kayak and paddleboard that was provided as well as the gas grill. The house was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. The screened in back porch was a nice bonus. The bed was very comfortable. We got the best sleep when we were there! The pictures of the place really don't do it justice. Its heavenly! We would definitely stay there again!

Tortuga House

Property is very remote. Just what we wanted. It is located about 15 minutes from Georgetown which was not a big deal aside from the fact that the road to get to it is in VERY poor condition. A 4 wheel drive vehicle would have made travel much less stressful but we managed with our Nissan Juke. Unfortunately we didn’t see any marine life in the water at the house. This was disappointing but overall we had a great time!

Amazing home and property

Tortuga was an amazing home for our trip to Exuma. We traveled with our daughters (age 13 and 17), and the home and property was perfect. Helen was helpful before and during our trip. She explained everything about the house and property before our trip, so we had no surprises and felt very prepared. The property is very secluded, but still easy to get back to George Town and everywhere else on the island. The house was comfortable, well equipped, and clean. The property was beautiful and the water access (plus the kayak and paddle board) was a highlight for our family. We will absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic Vacation Spot

My husband, son, and I stayed at the Tortuga house during our family vacation to Exuma. The house is cute and quaint and the views are nothing short of AMAZING! We had a fantastic vacation. While the backroads to get to the house can seem confusing, it is totally worth it once you get to the house. We explored the lengthy ocean waters and beach right outside the house and found all sorts of treasures. The hammock and chair swings were perfect for relaxing, reading and just listening to the waves. The sun room was great at night to relax in without having to worry about the bugs and still being able to listen to the waves. Helen, the owner, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The Tortuga house was the perfect spot for our family to stay for vacation. We will absolutely plan to stay again!
