Small rooms. Nowhere to set your stuff and nowhere to place suit cases and being Spire with IHG I was upgraded! We were granted access to the club on the 8th floor for breakfast, snacks and happy hour which was great but most of the time no one minds it and they run out of drinks/food/utensils and tables are filled with empty plates and napkins from past patrons, so that wasn't impressive. Also they offer in-room movies which don't work. We even had someone come to our room and he couldn't get it to work either. Frustrating since there are very few English TV stations here.
We stayed here for 2 nights, at the end of a 2 week long Swiss Holiday ! Hotel is walking distance from Airport (although they have free shuttle to airport). Good hotel, well made, comfortable rooms. We used Entertainer vouchers (so got one night free stay). The Staff was really helpful and cordial. They also recommended an Italian place for vegetarian meal close-by. They also gave us a complimentary drink at the bar ! It was a comfortable stay and easy to commute to the city - given the proximity to airport/station. Number of convenience stores also nearby.
the hotel is nice close to the airport with nice bar in front loup bar :) the negative point is that you need to pay extra for the car park the blue space around can be used from 6 to 8 so in the evening if you put the disc for 8 to 9 you can avoid to pay for the car park.
Despite crazy rates during the motor-show, normal tariffs are also high. Service I have to say is excellent, even if when is too crowded check-out procedures are too low and should be better managed considering the rate you are paying to stay there. Breakfast ok, not special.
I have written two reviews of this hotel before. It seems that overall, the hotel does a very good job each time, and hence my rating of 4/5, but this stay, I was really quite disappointed with housekeeping. I stayed five nights and found housekeeping to be really inconsistent; some days all things are replenished while other days, even my mug is not cleaned. Supplies/amenities were inconsistently re-stocked eg. some days only one towel was replaced, other days two towels. Some days I had a fresh supply of tea, chocolates and the sleep kit, other days no. Because of this, it was hard for me to plan/prepare certain things in advance. But everything else was top-notch. Breakfast service was great, reception/concierge was great, shuttle service was excellent. Just a tip - if you are facing the road and find the noise disturbing, check that your windows are securely closed. Only on the fourth night did I check and realise there was a small gap that was causing the noise level to be high.
Great location, food expensive but to be expected. Room was clean and comfortable (although a little warm) with amazing view. Easy to get to airport and show and hotel gave out travel passes so we went into Geneva on several days free of charge. Lake Geneva was beautiful and amazingly clear so enjoyed boat trip on last day. Friendly staff and very enjoyable stay.
My Geneva to Dulles United flight was cancelled owing to mechanical issues, and the airline booked us stranded passengers here. Plusses were the proximity to the airport, a free and efficient shuttle to the airport, and staff who were friendly and eager to help to the extent that they could. I discovered this when I tried to call home, . My cell phone does not function in Europe, so I used my room phone--only to be told that international calls are blocked from all room phones: a situation I have never encountered before! I was allowed to make the call from the front desk, and the hotel absorbed the cost. This was nice, although I was reasonably distraught after a long and stressful day at that point, and I didn't need the added stress of making a personal call to my husband in public..I must stress that the hotel staff seemed rather embarrassed about this, and were a helpful as they could be. The room itself was really small--cramped, in fact. It overlooked the main street fronting the hotel, and there was a lot of traffic noise. Also, for reasons I cannot fathom, the window shades were a pale gray, which amplified the incoming light from the street lights outside. This made for a lot of ambient light when the room lights were turned off--and turning them on and off was itself a challenge, as this like some other, albeit newer, hotels had some crazy atmospheric lighting going on. My room service dinner was all right, but over priced. I had to leave for my flight the next morning too early to avail myself of the breakfast, so cannot rate that. This is an older facility, and despite some renovations is showing its age. I cannot comment on value for money, as United picked up the room tab. One other thing: for inexplicable reasons, my iPad was unable to fully connect to the hotel's wifi, either in public areas or in my room. I could receive messages, but could not send them. I could access web pages all right. This problem did not occur anywhere else on this trip.
nice hotel , very nice staf especially jamella , she was very helpful and polite , but the hotel a little bit lower than standard 4star , the shower room is small , Comfortable bed , good breakfast buffet .
There is not a lot wrong with this hotel, the rooms are comfy, the service is as expected for the brand, but the main issue I have is, if you decide to eat in the restaurant and order food and drink from the bar, you will soon mount up a far charge. the minibar is also overpriced (in my opinion) however this is a business hotel and maybe they can justify it. Breakfast is also overpriced and there is often not enough seating as they only use half of the restaurant for breakfast. If you live with the overpriced food - then this hotel is defiantly a good location to base yourself - its a 20 minute RUN to the city centre - a nice run also down to the River
- frequent transfer from airport - efficient and fast check-in - rooms are a little small but fit for purpose and clean - good standard breakfast buffet - attentive and friendly service - food at the bar is a little over-prized, but of good quality - good local biers at the bar, I can recommend "le catapulte"
- Close to Palexpo
