Enjoyable stay at a castle. Very unique setting central to many attractions in the area. Friendly staff. Rooms were a bit oddly configured but this is to be expected from a real castle setting. A great overnight experience and right on the water for a nice morning stroll.

We liked it all. Amazing view, quaint room with lovely antique pieces, complimentary wine tasting in the castle, nice breakfast, beautiful historic castle to see. We will be back and stay not just one night!

Very beautiful place! Food and wine excellent! Comfortable rooms and bed.

The property was nicely kept, however plumbing was loud, mini fridge in the room was loud, it would have been nice if there were quieter appliances.

They are playing a bit of a con-job... when the room description says "chambers in castle" on-site, it's extremely misleading (especially considering there are other room options that omit "chambers in the castle" and just say "room on-site" or "room off-site." When one arrives at a castle and the bell says, "let me show you to your chambers" you're assuming its the room you paid too much money for, not the f-ing shared kitchen and dining room. i got a full refund and left. the carriage house is a dump, btw... like an old RV or state park cabin. gross. it is a beautiful lake and area though!

Booking through Orbitz I was not informed that this was an offsite room. Very disappointed. Upon check-in we were told that we could enjoy the same amenities as the Castle amenities. When staying at the Castle one of the amenities is the wine from the castle. We were not given any access to that. Which is one of the reasons I booked with Belhurst. Once we checked into our room we discovered a dirty sock the previous people left behind. Which made me wonder if they vacuumed or not.

Unique stay being in the castle. One thing to remember if booking is because this is a castle the stay will be different than a normal hotel. (No elevators only steps things like that) Very nice place and close to the lake

The most disappointing hotel stay I have ever had.

In reading the hotel reviews, I was expecting a more upscale accommodation. Our room in the Vinifera Inn was a step up from a motel. The carpet and couch look like they're from the 80s. The food in both restaurants was cold and over-priced. We stay in the finger lakes once a year but won't be back here. The whole place needs major refurbishment and an upgrade.

Beautiful experience! Stayed at the Belhurst castle for our honeymoon. It was so beautiful and relaxing. Cannot wait to be back!
