Just have 2 gripes. Beds could use updating. Halfway through our stay a herd of elephants checked in above us. Other than that loved it. I would stay again.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo with loft. The views were great. The staff was not very friendly. It seemed no one was really willing to help with anything. There's no place really to get snacks or food. They say the restaurant will be open Tuesday-Friday but there was never really anyone there. The check in guest area always seems desolate. You could never find anyone to help out or answer a question. It's also at least a 30 minute drive to get to anything. For the amount of money it cost to stay there I would recommend staying closer to town so you don't waste your time driving hours each day to get places.

Condos are comfortable and the views are great, The drive uphill is a little scary especially in wet weather and in night, some lights in corners would be nice.

Very peaceful and relaxing! We had a great time!

A very quiet place to relax and enjoy the view! Worth the drive up the mountain! We spent a morning biking at Cases Cove in the Smoky Mtns Natl Park. Saw black bears, deer, Turkey's and lots of butterflies! Enjoyed the afternoon on the sun deck and pool area.

The rooms were clean and more than we expected. Great view of the smokey mountains. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be staying again .

Hotel staff was warm and welcoming; the food that's sold in the clubhouse was very good; views are amazing but if you're not the most confident driver, the drive up the mountain might scare you as parts of the road has blind turns, and you could potentially fall off the mountain.

Check in was pleasant and the first 2 nights were good. Night 3 went downhill when folks checked in at 2 a.m. and were active in their room above us until after 330 a.m. night 4 was horrific due to running slamming doors and loud children for 5 hours. I complained to staff but this did nothing to stop the noise. When checking out the woman was rude at first then simply seemed to placate us by stating that she would stay alert to complaints. If you stay here make it a top floor. The view is beautiful but staff need some training in hospitality and the meaning of excessive noise..we won't stay here again.

We stayed at this resort during a trip in the fall to gatlinburg. We loved staying up on the top of the mtn.

It was just like home. Clean and well organized. The kids were able to play outside.

My family & I love Deer Ridge! They have an excellent staff, whom are very friendly & helpful! We were very pleased with our condo, it was very clean & had everything we needed! The best thing about Deer Ridge is the amazing views of the Smokey Mountains that you wake up to every morning! My children love the indoor pool area, that is very well kept & heated! I would definitely recommend Deer Ridge to anyone who is interested in being just about 10 minutes away from the overcrowdedness of downtown & needing some peace & quiet & to take in some "AMAZING VIEWS." We will be back again!

Loved our stay. Quiet, great view, friendly helpful staff...everything one could want.

View was great and all the staff was very helpful and friendly!

Great resort, especially if you don't mind making your own bed. The main drawback or advantage depending on your point of view is that is close to a beautiful half hour ride from town.

Just awesome! Total experience was super. Secluded, clean, friendly and helpful staff went out of their way for us. Nice facilities. And for price , can't beat it

As a family of 5, and with this being our first trip to Gatlinburg, i was kind of nervous about where to stay. For the size of the room, the facilities, and the view, i couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and the value was amazing. I will definitely be back.

The condo was exactly how I saw it on line. The view of the mountains from our balcony was spectacular! The condo was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We never ran out of hot water and it was very quiet. The drive up the mountain to the condo was exciting also. One the way up one evening a mother bear and her 3 cubs crossed the road in front of us. It was very exciting. Over all, we had an awesome time.

The staff were extremely professional and responsive to the minor issues we raised about a piece of broken furniture in our room. The room itself was quaint and clean. The swimming facilities were good for families with older kids, but the pool was too deep for our 5- and 3-year-old, so we migrated to the hot tub instead. The resort is close to Gatlinburg, so it is an easy drive into town. Going off-season is great if you like to avoid the big crowds, but you sacrifice the picturesque autumnal landscape. We went in early April, but it was still gorgeous.

Great place to stay, with great views! Spacious and comfortable with balcony overlooking the Smoky's.

Thanks for taking your time to write a review. Each condo here is individually owned and decorated, so owners put in beds/mattresses that are comfortable for them. That means that some other people are not satisfied, since everyone's preference differs. And I'm sorry to hear about the elephants! Unfortunately, not everyone is considerate of others around them. We do have a night guard here after 11:00 who will address noise issues if he is called. We look forward to seeing you again here at the resort with "The Best Views of the Smokies!"

I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. We make it quite clear in our information that we are located 12 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, which takes about 24 minutes to drive to. While driving there, however, there are many restaurants and shops that you pass, as well as the Greenbrier entrance to the National Park. Our Lobby Lounge is open Tuesday through Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We have those hours posted in the lobby as well as each condo, plus we give a menu with the times listed upon check-in. We are extremely busy in the summer, so someone is not always standing at the desk, but there is a bell right on the countertop to ring and someone pops right out to assist guests with questions. Most of our guests feel that the drive out of town for the fabulous, panoramic views of the Smokies and peace and quiet is worth the drive time.

Thank you for taking your time to write this review. Our condos are located in the Village of Cobbly Nob. The roads that you travel to get up the mountain to our resort are controlled by them, so unfortunately we cannot add extra lighting along their roads. Our Lobby Lounge is open Tuesday - Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and is intended to provide food and drinks to our guests who wish to stay in rather than drive to town. We have seating indoors as well as lots of seating outside on our decks. And the pool table is provided by an outside vendor--it is not ours. But I will notify him that it needs to be updated. I am happy that things that are within our control, such as the cleanliness of the condo and the staff were good for you.
