The Log House at Twin Brook

A cozy family getaway. While staying here, you will get to live in this historic stone home with a beautiful log addition. The original structure was built in the 1700s and served as the servant's quarters for the stone house across the road where your hosts now live. Set out in the country, you will be delighted with the peaceful environment created by the woods, fields, and buggies going by on the road.

The adults will love the high living room ceiling, while the children will love the book nook and play room. The cooks will love the spacious, state of the art kitchen. And the nature lovers will love the huge front porch...a perfect spot to watch the buggies go by and see the squirrels play.

Please make yourself at home. We live right across the street if you need anything! We love when we see guests enjoying our property. Feel free to walk across the street to Twin Brook Retreat where we have lots of outside space you can enjoy. There are wooded areas for picnics and walks, or you can sit down by the stream to enjoy the peace and quiet sound of rushing water.
These are all shared spaces, so please be respectful to other guest when using them.

Psalm 23:2 says: "He leads me beside still waters; He restores my soul." Our prayer for our guests is that your stay here would restore and refresh your soul and give you an opportunity to reflect on our Heavenly Father's love and care for us.

Other things to note:
* Consider staying even if you won't be using all the bedrooms.

* You will need to be able to climb stairs to reach the master bathroom and two other bedrooms. There is one bedroom with a king bed on ground level.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The atmosphere was peaceful and lovely. You could feel it right away. We loved the open bibles in the bedrooms and framed scriptures on the walls. It was particularly comforting because our family had recently been through a tragedy. We know God is using it for His glory! Staying here was truly a blessing! Candace was wonderful and very accommodating. The home was very welcoming and clean. The bedrooms were lovely and we slept better then we ever have in a rental. The furniture was also very comfortable. There were many thoughtful details the hostess put into the home. Our precious 3 year old niece loved the playroom and toy space under the main set of stairs. She also loved the kitchen drawer with children's plates & utensils she could choose from. It gave her great delight! We highly recommend staying here and plan to come back as soon as we get a chance. Thank you Candace and Merv for all you put into this special place! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! We appreciated it very much!

This house was beautiful! It was the perfect mix of old style charm and luxury! The cabin had literally everything you could need from shampoo, to throw blankets on the couch to fans in the closets. The house is pretty big and I kept finding myself getting turned around in certain places. Candace was a fantastic host and very accommodating after impending snow storm. We will definitely be back!

This house was absolutely amazing! The bedrooms were well furnished and comfortable; the kitchen was incredible! Plenty of room for socializing, but also for finding a quiet nook to sit and read. This house is immaculate and absolutely gorgeous! It’s gigantic and perfect for a big family. I love staying here and cannot wait to book my next stay. The front porch is huge and perfect for sitting and relaxing with coffee. The owners are very nice and make you feel welcome. I can’t say enough good things about this house. The house was even better than the pictures. We had 3 generations there during our stay and everyone from 5-71 loved it. Wonderful Getaway

We had such an enjoyable stay. The cabin is exactly as described. It’s very spacious with tons of room to spread out and relax. The gourmet kitchen is immaculate and modern. My only regret is not staying longer. Candace is a wonderful hostess and communicates promptly. Would definitely recommend.
