Great location, easy access to City Center, very friendly staff, overall excellent! Property could use a bit of a refresh with carpet (worn and stapled on the steps) and in some other areas to make it feel bright and newer, but overall highly recommended.

Good location. Some staff were very helpful while others were not (and one was downright rude). Hotel in need of upgrades. Light fixtures flicker, furniture outdated, uncomfortable mattress, and one of our travel companions was stuck in the lift for nearly an hour. Overall it is a decent hotel in a prime location but do not expect a modern experience.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location! Staff very friendly and bar lovely .

Great location. Beautifully decorated in a traditional way. No spa, but good breakfast and restaurant. The towels were magnificent. I would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel. Accommodations may be outdated, but staff was very accommodating. Good location, walk-able to everything.

Outstanding service. While the decor may be a bit date, the service more than makes up for it. I cannot say enough about the people there. Highly recommended!

Great Location to public transportation (train and bus) and Erye Square

centrally located and good sound proof windows. room was a bit snug compared to other hotels we stayed in during our trip to Ireland.

Traditional style hotel. Super clean with very friendly, helpful staff. Very convienient location for travel and sight seeing in city center. Will use this hotel again, great deal through orbitz. One of the best places we have stayed on vacation in the UK.

Great hotel in excellent city center location! Furnishings are a bit dated, but the rooms are very spacious and beds were very comfortable. Had dinner in the bar one night and food and service were quite good!

The hotel is located very close to restaurants and bars. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in need of TLC.

The hotel was awesome, however the bed wasn't very comfortable. That's the only thing that could be improved.

We were snowed in for an extra night due to the beast from the east storm. The hotel staff was more than accommodating to add the extra night and help us find places to eat despite most of the town being shut down. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We were happy that of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip, this was the one where we ended up an extra night. It is a wonderful property with very gracious staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed in Galway two nights, hotel was in perfect location to walk to restaurants and shopping. Staff was helpful in telling us where to go & what to do. We also had a car, they had a place to park our car & the price to park was reasonable too.

Don't get me wrong--the hotel is nice, but our experience was disappointing. We were traveling around Ireland, and as a result of hurricane Ophelia, we had to stay an extra night in southern Ireland. This unexpected event had a doimino effect on the rest of our travel schedule (we were going to a new location each day around the country). We scheduled travel via Orbitz; The Park House was the only hotel unwilling to work with us--we had to make our way to Galway and stay or eat the cost. Beautiful lobby and the receptionist was friendly. Parking was somewaht tricky. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The room was clean. Overall, I was expecting more relative to the rating of the hotel.

This hotel is around the corner from the bus station and train station. It is a short walk to Eyre Square and beyond. There is a very large restaurant inside and a very pretty bar. While we did not eat at the restaurant, there were always many people who did. Many of them seemed to be local, especially in the evenings. Our only complaint with the hotel is that it was reminiscent of old London. Heavy on the brass fixtures, floral carpeting, and stuffy couches everywhere. Many people frequent the hotel for afternoon tea. Our room was spotless but contained an incredible amount of furniture. It was rather cramped. In short, beautiful facility, good location, quiet, but a bit dated and reserved. Staff was helpful.

Park House Hotel is central to Galway. It's a lovely hotel and the staff were helpful. I stayed here during the Christmas Market and it was a delight!

Dear Paul, Thank you for taking the time in giving us a review. I sincerely apologize for the lift being stuck. It has never happened before, and hopefully never happens again. That lift is just over a year old. As for the other issues, you could have called down and we could have assisted you when getting a new light bulb or softer mattress. You are right in saying that this is not a modern hotel, it is old world charm and not for everyone. It was a lot more character than most places in my opinion. We do hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay.
