Great home. A lot of space for everyone to spread out. I suggest adding a least one TV upstairs. Would rent again if I’m in the area.

First impression was "I paid for this". The pictures are deceiving. Carpet is disgusting. It needs to be taken off of the staircase, very dirty. A couple broken handles on the cabinets. There are a couple broken boards on the deck area. The lock wouldn't lock on the deck door which was a major issue since we had toddlers trying to go out on the deck. The downstairs garage bedroom shouldn't be used as a bedroom. My daughter in law spent 30 minutes cleaning the bugs up in that bedroom. I contacted the host about the cleaning and bug issues and they stated they could send the cleaning staff back over but I declined because she already cleaned up the rollie pollies. Bugs continued to keep coming in during our stay. I wouldn't stay here again. We stayed here for one night before our cruise departure.

We enjoyed our stay overall, the host was welcoming and great communication. The house overall was nice and clean. There were a few things that needed fixed inside the home, but nothing too major. The neighborhood was nice a quiet. We really enjoyed the view from both decks and would definitely recommend the house for anyone looking to fish there.

Carpet on stairs was very dirty. Black marks on the walls. Burns on the floor and couch. Kitchen could have been stocked a little better for my liking. Furniture on deck was wobbly and. Uncomfortable. Neighborhood and view was great!

Very lovely home, enjoyed the deck and canal sitting area. Lots of bedrooms with extra beds for kiddos. Living area is a bit small if you have lots of people but couch was comfy. Kitchen was huge and all bathrooms were nice and big. 2 big picnic tables outside and large kitchen table inside.

Lots of little things added up to make our stay unsatisfactory but a beautiful house and location

A group of 18 of us recently stayed at a beach house in Galveston, and while it is a beautiful property with great potential, my experience was marred by several issues that ultimately made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.Upon arrival, we noticed that several small details needed attention. For instance, half of the toilet paper rolls were broken, which was a minor inconvenience but indicative of a lack of upkeep. Additionally, we found trash left in the arm of a chair on the deck, and there were sticky red streaks on the kitchen wall that suggested it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned.One of the more concerning discoveries was a peeled, moldy orange in the main bedroom, along with dirty sheets on the bed. When we reached out for assistance regarding the sheets, we were informed that new ones wouldn't be available until the next day, which was disappointing and we had to wash them ourselves. Safety was also a concern, as the door to the house did not lock properly, leaving us uneasy about our travel documents and personal belongings. The most frustrating issue, however, was the inconsistent hot water for the showers. With four showers available, we expected to be able to use at least two at a time, but that wasn’t the case. One shower never got warm at all, making it difficult for everyone to get ready comfortably.While the beach house has a lot of charm and a lovely location, these accumulated issues made our stay less satisfactory.

Do not book this home

This house is not what meets the eye… the pictures are beautiful but its remodel is lacking. We had 4 families staying and it had the perfect amount of space. However it is not as advertised. We had plenty of hot water on the first day but the second day the showers were no longer working with hot water. We brought it to the managements attention and they sent some one out who said there was an issue at the showers and he needed to go get more parts. The tech never came back and then management told us that the water heater was working fine. We would only be able to shower one person at a time and have to wait 15 - 20 mins between each shower. This house has 4 showers and is supposed to sleep up to 22 people. If this is the case they need to look at getting an additional water heater. Given the fact that we had plenty of hot water the first day though I think management just didn’t want to address the issue. On top of that the decking at the boat slip is broken and unsafe. The listing advertised being able to use the slip but the boat lift was down in a way that made it impossible to be able to tie off. The house has several safety concerns when it comes a to having small children. There are nails that are raised on the steps the carpeting is loose, the threshold at the top of the stairs is large and a tripping hazard as it is just a 1x4 that has been nailed down. The management company did a very poor job addressing any of these issues and just gave empty apologies.
