Escape to this charming home in the East End Historic District of Galveston Island, Texas. The house is perfectly located about a mile from the World famous Pleasure Pier, Stewart Beach OR the newly renovated cruise terminal. You can actually see the cruise ships when they are in port from the second floor front porch. Once parked, you may never need to get in your car again for the duration of the stay. The best restaurants and shops on the island are just a few blocks away and is the main reason the owners bought the house.
The backyard is a resort style oasis with giant lounge chairs and cushy furniture, on a brand new deck, surrounding a small cocktail style plunge pool. The pool has a splash pad and stadium steps, for easy access. There’s large patio umbrellas to provide shade when the sun is particularly hot. Bring the pups as the backyard is completely enclosed by a tall fence!
If you do leave the back yard oasis and venture to the beach, included are Tommy Bahama beach chairs and fat wheeled cart to lug all your gear.
There’s a King bed in the front bedroom and Queen beds in the other two nicely appointed bedrooms. The fourth bedroom, with the trundle bed, is a kids paradise with a 46” Sony LCD TV and an XBOX ONE game console. Downstairs in the family room is a 65” Sony TV with plenty of seating for family movie night. Both TVs have access to all the streaming services and live TV via Xfinity 800mbs internet service.
The well-equipped kitchen includes modern appliances such as a fridge with an automatic filtered water pitcher, professional stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave and more for making meal preparation a breeze.

Beautiful home in historic area near the Strand!!! Close to restaurants, Starbucks and Convention Center! Clean, spacious and offers a pool! If you have kids, please note that there is a quiet time after 10:00 pm and the neighbor next door will definitely let you know it! Plenty of curbside parking. Vacasa will also require an identity check so if you get a separate email to confirm your identity for rental purposes don’t be caught off Guard!
