I have rented this exact condo before two other times. All the things that were broken or missing or not working are still unavailable or inoperable. Plus new things. It costs way too much to rent this and have such minimal care taken with the rental. It’s in bad need of some maintenance work. I’m not sure if it’s the rental agency not passing on messages or the owners simply don’t care. And if you have a maintenance issue- it’s at best a 24 hour wait - if they show up at all. I’m just really frustrated. We always go during the off season so it’s slow season in Galveston.
This stay: absolutely no light bulb in the bunk room. Pitch black - called and 24 hours later they arrived. We had already purchased a light bulb- crawled on top of bunk bed and replaced it. But how did they clean our room in the total dark? Ants- all over patio and kitchen floor and living room. They must have sprayed some because they got better. I know ants can appear quickly- I’m trying to give them a pass on that one. The condo is beautifully decorated - but so much repairs need done. Bunk bed support rail is broken, rugs are curled - tripping hazard, sheets are about as cheap as they come. I could go on and on- master toilet works 1/2 the time. Shower curtain in hall bath was hung to hang about an 1” below the tub- not enough to keep water in. Again- we crawled up and adjusted it. This same bath has shower head issues.
