If you’re booking strictly for location, this home delivers. However, if you’re looking for location paired with cleanliness and well-maintained amenities, this property falls short.While the listing presents beautifully on VRBO, the home was in need of a thorough deep clean. There was visible dust, cabinet crumbs and tufts of dog hair throughout, which immediately took away from the experience. It’s also an older property in need of repairs—particularly the upstairs flooring, which felt soft (rot-like) in areas, and the upstairs bathroom where tiles weren't secure. The main bedroom carpet was rippled and felt gross to walk on.The toiletries provided were minimal and felt more like a hotel “starter kit,” which was disappointing for a vacation rental at this price point. Basic, full-size essentials would have made a noticeable difference. The overall experience felt somewhat corporatized, lacking the attention to detail you expect in a thoughtfully maintained home.The most frustrating issue was the grill. We had planned meals around it, but it was completely unusable—the grate was covered in mold, rust, and baked on soot and there was a ton of charcoal buildup in the bottom. Although a replacement was delivered about 4 hours after we notified management, it disrupted our plans and the overall experience.With how expensive travel has become, you want to feel you’re getting what you pay for. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t meet that expectation, and we will not be back.
