This was our 2nd time to stay! Our first stay was Nov 2018. We were on a family vacation with our 20-something yr old sons and their wives. Hubby and I stayed in the Hooper Room. So nice! The boys & their wives stayed in rooms on the 2nd floor. The views are spectacular. The amenities are wonderful. Happy hour with homemade sangria is amazing! The breakfast is delicious. We had mascarpone stuffed french toast with blackberries and amazing buttermilk syrup, cheesy grits souffle, yogurt bar, muffins, juice, coffee. So good! The owners are friendly. We had some fun family time in the game room on the 3rd floor. Board games, pool table, dart board, big screen t.v. Comfy seating. Apparently “The Game of Life” has been updated since I was a kid—my kids had to teach me the new way. 😊 Then fate brought us back to Alabama in March 2019, this time with my hubby’s sister and brother-in-law. So excited to get to stay here again. Sis & bro-in-law stayed in the Hooper, hubby & I in the Fisherman—so nice and comfy. We soaked in the beautiful view from the wrap-around porch. So relaxing. Hubby got a massage in the new massage facility on the 3rd floor. So he was super relaxed. Michelle outdid herself with breakfast (Bananas foster french toast, cheesy grits souffle, sausage, yogurt bar, danishes, juice, coffee.) So scrumptious. We will make the 12-hour trek to stay again, for sure! 5 stars. The best.

My wife and I wanted to get out of town Mardi Gras weekend. We live in New Orleans and like going somewhere for the long weekend. She wanted to visit an old friend who lives in the Lake Guntersville area so we found a quaint Bed and Breakfast to stay in. We really enjoyed our stay and Michelle, the owner/operator, was a regular Chamber of Commerce agent who knew so much about the area and it’s inhabitants. She made excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. I would definitely return. The breakfasts alone were worth the trip!

This was my first time going to a bed and breakfast and I was very pleased with the accommodations and hospitality. The decor the food, and the whole experience exceeded expectations. We will definitely make this an annual trip now.

We were looking for a low-key place to get away for a night, and Lake Guntersville B&B was the perfect spot. The logistics worked well for us because we could drop the kids off at my parents' house on the way, which is between Birmingham and Guntersville. We arrived just after 6pm, but Michelle was easily able to accommodate us past the 3-6 check-in window. Our room, Aerie, was a decent size with a good-sized en-suite bath. We loved having the guest kitchen with coffee and other drinks nearby. We were able to walk to and from dinner just a block or so away from the inn. This was really nice as it's finally starting to feel like fall in the evenings. We slept fairly well, but the temperature control would be my only tiny complaint. I understand it's an older house, but it seemed to switch back and forth from stuffy to ice cold throughout the night. Overall, it was a good night's sleep with very comfortable bedding and a quiet corner of the house. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! When we came in, we helped ourselves to coffee, juice, and the yogurt bar while the hot dish was prepared. Such a nice way to start the meal! Then we enjoyed scrambled eggs benedict with breakfast potatoes - so yummy. I am still thinking about that meal. I would love to come back and stay two nights when we could take time to enjoy sitting on the beautiful porch overlooking the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Everyone was so friendly, even the other guests! The home is beautiful and I wish we stayed more than one night. Our room, Alexander, was great for 4 people. You can’t beat the view that was right outside our door. There was plenty of spots to sit outside with our family and play cards/ eat. The complimentary happy hour was an added bonus, you should try the homemade sangria!! The breakfast in the morning filled us up and was delicious! This was a very homey and welcoming stay! If we find ourselves in Guntersville again, we will be staying here!

We travel quite often to Albertville, Alabama. Usually we stay with relatives or in the local Microtel. This time, we tried something completely different. Family friends had told us that they were going to stay at Lake Guntersville Bed and Breakfast for Labor Day, so we beat them there by a couple of weeks. What a great idea that was. The place is a treasure. There's a happy hour from five to six, with free beer and [our favorites] white sangrias. Free soft drinks are available around the clock. Oh, and then there's breakfast. Wow ─ what a breakfast! Home made and delicious. You have to wait until eight-thirty for breakfast, but it's worth the wait. Now, remember, it's a bed and breakfast, so you're on your own for supper. There are at least two places within walking distance, so we walked to a bar that was ten minutes away.

Mike and Michelle are a great team. They have turned an old house into a quaint B & B. The Lucinda room was great! The porch was breezy with a beautiful view of the lake. The breakfast was the best--Delicious!

We had an opportunity to stay at this historic B & B while attending our niece's wedding and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We felt at home as soon as we entered the front door and were welcomed by Mike, the innkeeper. He told us everything we needed to know about the accomodations and informed us it was happy hour. After we brought our bags to our lovely room (Hooper), my husband brought me back a glass of sangria which was absolutely delicious. I sat on the porch overlooking Lake Guntersville until it was time to go for dinner and it was very quiet and peaceful. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I wish there was a little more storage in the bathroom but we managed fine with the little table provided. The two mornings that we were there, we were treated to delicious breakfasts. I would pay for the recipe of Michelle's egg dish with cheese and sausage. It's all I've been thinking of since I ate it. The stuffed french toast with marscapone and berries was just as delicious as was everything else we had. If we are ever in the Guntersville area again, we will not hesitate to stay at this bed and breakfast.

Anyone who gave this place 3 stars needs to really re-evaluate their lives This was just gorgeous, with a beautiful attention to detail. The rooms were so comfortable (with the most amazing sheets!) and an incredibly delicious homemade breakfast Location was peaceful and great little communal kitchen on the upper floor to help yourself to some drinks (water, soda...)

We stayed in a gorgeous suite with a fireplace in the bedroom and bathroom. Having the gas logs on a timer was a nice addition as it allowed us to safely doze off listening to the fire. The breakfasts were delicious and we appreciated that the dining room was set up more like a restaurant than a traditional B&B where you’re forced to mingle. We borrowed bikes and rode the along Sunset Blvd trail that is easily accessible from the house. The B&B’s location in downtown (rather than on the lake) made for a pleasant walk to several meals.
