La Roca Is Great, But Not This Property

We have stayed at La Roca before and know the area well. Four years ago, we also stayed in this house, but this time the experience was significantly worse. The splash pool was not ready upon our arrival on Sunday and could not be used until Tuesday. The area around the pool was covered in thick dust, which we had to hose off ourselves, and there were dead plants with cigarette butts as well as beer cans on the lawn. This created an uninviting and far from luxurious first impression. We were given only one set of keys and no key fob for the elevator to the beach, meaning we had to take a long detour – unacceptable, as all other houses at La Roca have elevator access. Despite contacting Vivi Homes daily during our 17-day stay, we never received extra keys or a key fob. In front of the house, there was major construction work, causing constant noise and dust. The kitchen was very poorly equipped, and even after several requests for a simple cutting board, we eventually had to buy one ourselves. In addition, there were no towels in any of the three bathrooms upon arrival.Based on these issues, we cannot recommend renting this house. La Roca is otherwise a lovely area, and we have previously had excellent stays in other houses here where everything worked well.
