We stayed just one night, it is not too far from Yosemite National Park. We arrived late at night, it didn't take too long to check in even with the game for extra bonus Marriott points, but to our surprise, in front of the bathroom sink, we found a pot with about 2 in" of water in it that was dripping from the air conditioning. I called the front desk and I told them about our finding. Their response was that the pot is there because it is condensed water from the air conditioning and we shouldn't worry about it. I told them that I would rather have a different room. We were moved, but I was kind of disappointed about their attitude, I expect more from Marriott brand. The new room was better, clean, but the air conditioning was loud. Predictable breakfast, nothing special...
Everything as expected. However I was disappointed to finding out that they don't do any kind of snacks or dinner on Thursday nights. I pretty much book here just for the Inclusive meals. Oh well, minus one Trip Advisor dot for disappointment. Otherwise an ok stay.
All the staff we encountered from the Front desk, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping Team were amazing. Everyone was friendly and genuinely cares for all their guests. Location was on a side street but we felt safe. Breakfast was a good selection of pastries, eggs, breakfast meats, cereal, fruit and hot beverages. Rooms were very spacious and well maintained. Great value.
I still stayed there knowing that there is a review here on Trip Advisor that someone's SUV has been broken into. Learn from my mistake! My Trek bike was stolen on our last night there. We had 5 bikes, secured with a thick cable with a lock, someone cut that cable and stole my Trek bike. They say they have a security guard circling the area from 11PM to 6AM but where was that security when someone cut a thick cable and stole my bike? This hotel is a target for theft because they don't have security cameras. Stay at a different hotel!
One night stay. Pulled up to the lobby and noticed a security officer walking around the property. Went to go into the lobby and had to be let in by the lady at the counter. This gave me an uneasy feeling so I went around the suite and checked the windows. The one window was broken and off the track. I lined up the window and locked it as best as I could because the lock to the window was not in good shape. When I looked out my window I saw the security officer walking around the backside of the hotel. Needless to say I didn't sleep at all.
This is a major traffic hotel that is in need of renovation and upkeep of the hotel was less than satisfactory. As a traveling professional, I encounter several hotels per year and this one was def. on the bottom of my list. The hotel is off a side street and in an area of Fresno that did not strike me as the best. The hotel is surrounded by a run down fence with a fair amount of lighting in the parking lot but def. a place that could use some additional lighting. The access throughout the hotel was less than convenient and was hard to move about the hotel because the hotel is split into several building where the access doors were hard to open. The doors to enter the buildings with the rooms were in need of servicing and often times were not able to read keys even though the keys worked to open the rooms causing you to make other entrances via other doors. The elevators are very small and slow with limited access around the buildings. The rooms themselves are your typical Residence INN variety with kitchens, sofa, dining area and a bedroom depending on which room you book. The fridge in my room had dents in the door while the kitchen was very run down and in need of some attention. The fridge had stains on the shelving and looked more like a college dorm house than a "clean hotel" room fridge. As I stated before, I travel often so I carry things to freshen up the room in case like this so as I cleaned the remote with a Sanitary wipe (as I do at each hotel) I encountered dirt, grime and who knows what else on the remote. There was so much dirt and grime on it that I used a 2nd wipe to clean it again and still had dirt on the wipe. The first wipe was completely black from the junk on it. The remote was so bad that I decided to wrap it in a paper towel to use it so I didn't have to touch it. The bedroom door knob was falling off the door and did not function as it should because it was broken or loose. The shower had long strands of hair on the walls, and hair trimmings throughout the bathroom floor. The toilet had toilet paper in the bowl when I arrived which is always a nice surprise when you enter a "clean room." Since I had already had a long travel day and asked for a diff. room when I first check in because that room smelled like smoke, I decided to just gut it out since I was only there 1 night. I spent the next 20 min. checking out the room and cleaning what I could to make it somewhat clean and "stay-able" for me that night. I recommend you do your research on this property as I am only speaking from my experience but I personally will not be staying at this hotel should I come back on business. I have stayed at another Marriott property just a few blocks away in the past and that room and experience was far better. This hotel is for a traveling family who will not spend a lot of time in the room and do not care ultimately about the pure cleanliness but more so the value and kitchen features. Oddly enough, I do not review many hotels but I felt it was necessary to share my experience esp. since my hotel receipt told me to rate them on Trip Advisor. Here it is!
Convenient location, comfortable, good service we stayed only one night, but the staff was wonderful, the room was comfortable and spacious. would stay again. breakfast nothing special but easy to get to. Could park the car very near the room.
We have stayed here twice in the past 10 months, and both stays were pleasant. In August 2016 we were here with a lot of family because of a death in the family, and we stayed for a couple of weeks in a suite. This time my wife and I stayed in a "studio" that is quite large and still equipped for cooking and independent work. It is a well-kept property with a pool, laundry facilities, a pretty good breakfast, and in rooms away from the 41 Freeway, quiet. One complaint -- the key cards don't always open the doors, but other than that, all is well. The mini-kitchen has tableware and cooking utensils, a small regular refrigerator with ice maker, and a high powered air conditioning system. When we visited the Fresno temps were above 110 degrees but inside was very comfortable at whatever temperature you wished (74 degrees). The wi-fi is good, and you can get higher speeds for a small fee. The grounds are well maintained as are the buildings. It is not deluxe like the Plaza Hotel in New York City, but it is high class for this part of the country. It is apparently marketed to business people for good reason. It is comfortable and solid. We will almost always stay here on our visits to our old hometown. The rooms have separate bedrooms (excepting the studios), and the furniture is comfortable and usable for reading, etc. It is not a pampering hotel, but rather a home-away pied a terr for the business traveler, but is also readily adaptable for those not on business. It costs more than a Best Western, but in our opinion, it is worth it.
The hotel staff was friendly. Room nice and clean. Breakfast was pretty good. My only complaint is if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room not facing the freeway. Plenty of parking. Trader Joe's 2-3 blocks away.
From the cordial welcome to entering the room everything was First Class. The grounds are well manicured, with the largest amount of rose bushes i ever seen. The outside appearance says "Welcome, Come on in". The rooms were clean, neat, and the kitchen had the majority of the items you would need. We had a 2 bedroom Suite and it was perfect for 2 couples. You had privacy when desired, plus a living room and kitchen in the middle for a gathering area. Monday thru Wednesday they have a cordial hour in the Lobby, Beer, Wine and light snacks. The free Breakfast was very good with many items to choose from, which were continuously be restock , so items were fresh. It is close to Sequoia National Park. Driving through the county side you see several fresh fruit stands, if you don't stop then you are the loser. There are additional things to do in the surrounding town. I can't wait till my next trip.
