The staff is very, very friendly. We had stayed at this facility before and was greeted with a big smile and hug from Ms. Pam. It was so nice to see her again. Also, Michael came up to my husband to speak with him and make us remember him.
Exciting the freeway to come here is the Hustle Hollywood store. My husband wasn't too sure of the surroundings as we pulled up. The hotel is located in an industrial block. This town is a bit confusing.. Pottery Barn and high end stores mixed with car dealerships and pawn shops. The area is pretty spread out so utlize your yelp and gps to find what you need. The hotel was located near a couple starbucks, a target, trader joes and a few fast food places. The breakfast was ok. Running scrambled eggs, sausage patties, mini waffles, yogurts, bagels, cereal and bananas. The weekend tends to be busy so they run out of breakfast fast and your wait to refil can be long. Upon walking in, the hotel smelled pretty outdated. We got a 1 bedroom suite. We opened the windows to air out the room which helped. We didnt cook in our room or do dishes. The feel of the utensils and kitchen supplies were really outdated. Sofa bed was awful, lumpy and thin. We brought out own pillows and sheets for it. After a day, you get used to it.
I love all Residence Inns — this one included! But a couple of things made it less than perfect. First, you should know the "rooms" here are awesome, especially for an extended stay. They're really tiny apartments, with a kitchen (sink and full size fridge!) and a separate bedroom. It's the main reason I love them, even if I'm only there for one or two nights. No hotel room comes close. The staff was extra friendly at check-in and made me feel welcome. The room was more than I needed — dare I say, indulgent? Comfortable bed, dishwasher, couch — like I said, it was basically an apartment. And they had a free breakfast in the morning (and a reception in the evenings). That was a nice added touch! The downsides here are really nothing the staff can do anything about, but you should know that they exist. First, the location is really odd. It's at the end of a side street on a cul-de-sac. You are off the beaten path a little next to a pond — BUT, you are also next to a freeway that you can't easily access. All of the noise, none of the convenience. There's a major road not far, and it has food options, but be aware that you are tucked away, as if you truly were living in an apartment complex. Second, the layout of this particular Residence Inn is one where you're in separate buildings. I had to drive to a different part of the parking lot to get to my room. Although you are shown a map at check-in, finding your room is akin to finding an apartment; you have to hunt for it. Again, it goes with the turf. Would I stay here again? Definitely, although I now know what to expect.
...extended stay residential hotel. All you could expect in a facility aimed at twenty to thirty something year olds on long term assignments in the Fresno area. There are also the occasional young families being relocated to this area. Well appointed rooms and suites with above average bathrooms. Complimentary breakfast is pretty basic however. Weekdays feature evening refreshments not available on weekends.
I stayed at this hotel for almost two consecutive weeks for business. The staff is incredibly accommodating! They let me check in early on the first day, and check out late on the last day so I could get my dog settled in the room and go to my work site. Make sure you check out the evening dinner selections. I was surprised at the quality and the variety. The breakfast is REALLY good too; eggs and a bacon or sausage option (rotates daily) and plenty of coffee, sweet treats and other items. I will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.
As titled it is well hidden and not well marked when trying to locate, thank goodness for GPS directions. Once you find it, well worth it. Had a very nice room with plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. From the outside in everything was very well maintained. Bed and linens are good and they had a very nice breakfast. Not a lot of seating for breakfast.
I found this hotel really excellent value and a very nice place to stay. Beautifully designed and done; integrating a lot of native trees and thus creating a cozy feeling rather than a newly-constructed-concrete-stuff one; very inviting pool and sports track area (wish we had time to use these), very functional, great suites - kitchen so well equipped that it is a fantastic treat. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. Spotlessly clean, and everything very tasteful. Which hotel has even a basketball and volleyball court...? A really great place, highly recommended.
Good area close to shopping and restaurants. Seemed to be a newer or updated Residence in property. We had a brief one night stay. This is a big property with indoor hallway entrances and the elevators are few and far between so keep that in mind. Also these are the thinnest walls we have ever encountered at a Residence Inn. We could clearly hear the television and muffled conversations from the room next door. Hotel no longer provides luggage racks (which we had to explain to the front desk person what it was) but they found one in storage for us. There were no lamps in the living area of the room only the light for the kitchen. When we inquired upon departure we were told some rooms had lamps and some didn’t. It is an okay property, but a bit inconsistent.
We stayed just one night, it is not too far from Yosemite National Park. We arrived late at night, it didn't take too long to check in even with the game for extra bonus Marriott points, but to our surprise, in front of the bathroom sink, we found a pot with about 2 in" of water in it that was dripping from the air conditioning. I called the front desk and I told them about our finding. Their response was that the pot is there because it is condensed water from the air conditioning and we shouldn't worry about it. I told them that I would rather have a different room. We were moved, but I was kind of disappointed about their attitude, I expect more from Marriott brand. The new room was better, clean, but the air conditioning was loud. Predictable breakfast, nothing special...
Everything as expected. However I was disappointed to finding out that they don't do any kind of snacks or dinner on Thursday nights. I pretty much book here just for the Inclusive meals. Oh well, minus one Trip Advisor dot for disappointment. Otherwise an ok stay.
