Residence Inn By Marriott Fresno3.0 out of 5.0

I can only rate as average due basic maintenance items that have not been addressed. Loose fixture handles, leaking fixtures at handles, noisy HVAC, and a refrigerator compartment that was warm regardless of setting. The upside is good location, staff, housekeeping. Will stay here again if need arises, but do a room check prior to settling in. This property needs to run a quality checklist on rooms prior to assignment.
The kitchen is great if you use it. These rooms are great if you are traveling with kids or larger groups. They allow dogs, but charge a pretty large fee for a pet stay. During the week, they do some dinner thing. It's located in a relatively convenient area, although it seems to border not the greatest area. Breakfast is good.
The Residence Inn is located right off the freeway and close to local shopping areas in case you need a last minute item. The layout of the hotel is nice with multiple entrances in close proximity of all rooms. Grills are available for use on the patio in case you would like a freshly prepared meal done "your way". The staff is knowledgeable of the area which was helpful. They also stored my baggage while I went off on a weekend excursion away from the area. The rooms are clean and roomy. You feel like you are in your own apartment instead of a hotel which is nice during long stays. Many delivery options available when the happy hour of free beer dries up for the night. Hotel also has an outdoor pool and tennis court.
Very nice and clean room, comfortable bed. Accomodating staff when requesting a down stairs room. Room on the freeway side however not very noisy. Easy access. Breakfast bar included however had to leave early
Although I requested a higher room away from the freeway there was still plenty of noise. The room faced a walkway near the pool but I still had a difficult time sleeping. Given that I have elite status with Marriott Rewards I assume that this was a good room. The staff was fantastic and very friendly and helpful. Food was limited to chips, nachos, burgers and the like at the evening reception but the beer selection (805, Stella) was appreciated. The property is tucked away on a side street and not easy spotted but the location is very close to freeway exits and a Trader Joe's is right around the corner. While the location worked well for my business this week the sleep disruptions will dictate a different property the next time I'm in Fresno.
Surprisingly cozy and quiet. Very polite, helpful and willing staff. I understand it was renovated so I reckon some of the negative comments have been addressed and rectified. Certainly recommended, particularly for a short stay.
This is our second time staying here. The location is convenient for us and the rooms are quiet. The staff is cheerful and the included breakfast (albeit so-so food), is fine. Our one bedroom suite is clean and spacious. This is now our preferred hotel when we are in town to visit family.
I would really call this a 3.5 but will round up to 4. Last weekend we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was me and my hubby in one bedroom and our teen daughter and her friend in another. I really like the suite option because it has not only the two bedrooms, but a living area (we had some family come visit) and a kitchen. My main complaint about the room had to do with the kitchen. It was very understocked. Odd numbers of glasses/flatware/plates. For example, 3 small glasses in a room that sleeps 6. Also, I have noticed that in general Residence Inns have cheaped out on their flatware, and this property is no exception (I used to stay at another location at least twice a month and noticed a change from good flatware to crappy). Other than that, the room was clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was standard fare for this class of hotel. I would also note that the market place in this location was very limited. Wifi was good the first day but after that, I got an unsafe warning every time I tried to connect on my phone.
I stayed here two nights and the 1st night was a little ruff the bed was very hard and could not sleep at all and the highway noice was trouble. The staff is very friendly especially Shanna at the front desk she has great customer service and she is very knowledgeable of the area. Tyfannie and Pam AGM where very helpful and friendly. Breakfast food is very good and great selection of item. Thank you residence inn fresno. I will be back!!!!!!
I recently relocated to Fresno for work. After staying at other long stay properties, I chose the Residence Inn for my transition in finding permanent accommodations. I would like to stress how comfortable this has been. I have a one bedroom and like the door between the rooms giving a more homey feel. It is off the main road and is quiet. The breakfast is fresh daily with scrambled eggs or egg whites and a waffle machine. There are pastries available, cereals, hard boiled eggs, brie cheese!! Other fruits as well. There are social hours 3 days a week with ample fresh snack and salads that are sufficient to call it dinner along with beer and wine. The staff is outstanding, friendly and so helpful. My entire stay will have been for 7 weeks. I am really going to miss it when I leave. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Residence Inn for welcoming me to Fresno.
