The room description said non-smoking, and the door said "non-smoking," but the room still had a lingering cigarette smell. Also, this hotel is not in the best neighborhood and noisy.
I observed security on-site due to questionable activity. Otherwise stay was reasonably tolerable.
Its very cheap, but a real dive. The location isn't good. The room was in bad shape the bedframe stuck out and tore my pants when I walked by. Its a good thing it was just my jeans and not my leg.
Don't bring kids here! The street in front of the hotel is a local prostitution hot zone. Lots of hard drug users and fighting seems to be standard and daily occurrences. The room was actually dirty with little pieces of litter scattered around. I only stayed the second night because I had already paid through Orbitz and the manager refused to refund for the second night. The new owners are really trying to turn this place around, but they have not gotten there yet. Put this one under the heading of "You get what you pay for"
NO WIFI WORKING. WAS TOLD TO GO USE COMPUTER IN THE OFFICE. MICROWAVE NOT WORKING AND COULD NOT OFFER ANOTHER WORKING MICROWAVE. NO IRON OR HAIR DRYER IN ROOM. OUR STAY WAS FOR 3 NIGHTS AND ROOM WAS ONLY CLEANED ONCE AND WERE ASKED IF WE WANTED TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE 3 NIGHTS. WAS TOLD WE WILL NOT GET MONEY BACK IF WE CHOOSE TO NOT STAY. VERY INCONVENIENT. WILL NOT STAY AGAIN AND NOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS.
This hotel turned out to he surprisingly nice and clean considering the area that it's in.
I didn't arrive expecting four stars but I managed to be disappointed beyond my expectations. I simply needed a room to breakup a drive to Yosemite. At 5am the door was opened by someone with a key (prevented from entry by the dead bolt). That was enough to get me up and ruin any chance of sleep. Four walls, barely.
