Nice people, friendly and courteous staff, room appeared clean and comfortable

Our bed felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Honestly I've never slept in a bad so hard, and so that made our stay very uncomfortable. Plus when we went to bed the first night there was sand in our sheets...which leads me to believe our sheets were not clean...gross! Very cute hotel outside with beautiful gardens. Would not stay here again though.

The overall experience was pleasant. I liked that I had 2 doors for the room and had no headlights coming in through the front window. The room was clean and had a book listing the amenities. The only issues I had was there was no control for heating and the room was cold for several hours before the heating turned on. The other was that we left the maid service door hanger on the door when we left the room at 7am, and returned at 2pm to take a shower when the maid came in 2 minutes after we entered the room. We asked that she return as we were only going to be in the room for about 30 minutes. I notified one of the maids that we were leaving and that our room could be cleaned. The room had not been touched when we returned at 7pm with the maid service door hanger still on the front door.

Enjoyed the peacefulness of the grounds. Rooms were ok. Restaurant was good but bar closed at 9 PM.

Good motel with pool Shops and restaurant nearby 5 min drive to downtown

very old hotel. bed was not comfortable. hotel needs to be updated. you get what you pay for.

We stayed at this hotel since they advertised a bar and grill. The bar was closed on Sunday and for the 4th holiday so we never got to go to either. Hotel is nicely kept and very quiet even though it was sold out.

Overall this was a great stay, close to town, beautifully landscaped older hotel. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

My room was nice the only complaint that i have is their was a door that connected my room to the people next door which i would assume was close to their BR. I could hear them talking all night it was not like a closed off wall it was literally a door in which u open was another door that lead to the room next door i had very bad sleep i dont recommend that room to anyone it was room # 203

We arrived at 12:30 p.m. hoping for an early check in and were told that our room wasn't ready and that the housekeepers were on their lunch break. When we returned at 2:00 p.m., the room that they had assigned to us for some reason wasn't available. The front desk clerk contacted another staffer on the radio who was very rude to him and didn't offer an explanation. The clerk was unsure how to proceed and offered us a downgraded room. Our daughter gave us her assigned room and took another that was offered. Room was clean but a bit tired looking and outdated. Bed was comfortable and had a variety of pillows to select from to accomodate guests.

The location of the hotel is almost perfect. Close to town, parks and the gateway to the mighty Sequoias! However, the hotel, itself, is an older one. The locks on our door did not work and we were locked out until a wonderful staff member saw us, did her best to remedy the situation, ran to the office for another key, which was not much better, but we were able to get in. As for the room, when upon inspection, black hair left all over the bathroom and sink area (yuck) only one towel was provided for two if us...really! The Staff were fantastic.

We were in town for a graduation--the hotel worked well for our trip because it was close to the function.

it is very clean, near a freeway and in a nice neighborhood. I would like to have a continental breakfast offered to allow a quick jump on the freeway.

We enjoyed the hotel stay very much. We visited the Sequoia National Park, and after a long daybed hiking and other fun activities, it was great to come back to Lamp Liter Inn and feel nearly at home. The shower was fantastic! The mattresses are long overdue for a replacement. They both sagged in the middle. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay.

Quiet place to spend the night and rest up for a family reunion.

Spouse liked the retro feel of the place. Had a nice pool. The only real problem is that we asked for two rooms, one with a king bed (for me + spouse) and one with two doubles, and we did not get put together - we were on opposite ends of the complex, with the king bed rooms being much nicer and in a nicer location (away from the parking lot). Anyway, I you just want king beds, this is a great value, but for double beds only fair.

they could be more generous on their supplies. Three creamers and three sugars is not always enough for everyone's taste.

The lamplighter was clean. The staff was nice and friendly. Also, very helpful. The room was good for the amount of money we paid. I don't have any complains about the hotel, but what you pay is what you get. I do recommend it to others.

good stay will recommend Easy excess to highway and dining facilities

We needed a bed to sleep in and this served its purpose well. Just before we checked out, there was water dripping from the ceiling coming from the second floor bathroom. Otherwise, we were satisfied with our stay and money spent.
