Our host met us and graciously guided us through everything we needed to know for our stay. Cottage was immaculate, well maintained, and had everything we needed and more. Bed was comfortable and water was hot. Highly recommend and look forward to our next stay.

Truly a charming place to stay. Convenient location and a quick trip to downtown. It was the extra touches though… plenty of coffee. She left juice and milk in the fridge with plenty of snacks. Bed was comfy, plenty of towels, immaculately clean. Super quiet. Would definitely recommend! Looking forward to staying there again. :-)

My husband and I loved staying at the Artist Chalet right before Christmas 2025. Nora, the owner, greeted us when we arrived, and was so warm and welcoming. The chalet was cozy, comfortable and very clean. It was decorated for the Christmas season and was absolutely beautiful. Beautiful artwork done by the owner is also displayed throughout. The neighborhood is very quiet which was nice. Would absolutely recommend!!!

The Chaet was absolutely wonderful! We couldn't want for anything because it was already there. The place was clean and beautifully decorated, (she is an artist so why wouldn't it be)! It is away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street. We would defiantly stay again. Wouldn't mind living there!!!

Absolutely perfect!

We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and we had the absolute best time. The chalet is perfectly decorated. The amenities were just right. Even stocked with the basic necessities. Comfortable bed and furniture. Location of the chalet is the perfect distance from all activities, shops, and restaurants. We will definitely book the chalet for our next visit as well! Highly recommend for a nice quiet, relaxation, couples vacation!

Anniversary Trip

Had a great time and stay in Fredericksburg and the Painters Chalet. Very quiet neighborhood and very quaint and charming. Very clean and the owner is extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect couple stay

This is a great place for a couple weekend. Owner was fantastic, showed us in and then left us alone, but if we needed something (which we did not) she was avaliable. Place was very clean, decorated great, everything we needed. Felt very secure. Couple miles from town.

Unbelievable property and gracious host

The Artist Chalet exceeded every one of my expectations. The setting is beautiful, the chalet is so beautifully decorated including several paintings by the property host. If you are looking for a relaxing, rejuvenating and peaceful getaway, choose the Artist Chalet. I will definitely return soon.

Wonderful Weekend

The Artist's Chalet was wonderful. It was exactly as pictured and described plus so much more. The host went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience from snacks and cereal in a basket to beverages in the refrigerator to artfully arranged towels on the bed and in the bathroom. We truly felt pampered. Would definitely recommend this property when staying in Fredericksburg. Very close to town but in a quiet neighborhood.
