This hotel is far overrated. Don’t choose what they call a single room. They squeeze you in a corner, a triangular room which just fits a small bed, no wardrobe, a basic bathroom. Lucky I stayed only one night, because there is no place for a suitcase. Reception was uninterested, you have find your own way through the corridors. Location is next to the rails and on a very busy road. Breakfast was just ok. This is not the place to stay for a good rest after a full day of meetings.
We stayed here for 2 nights in September. Check in was quick and as I had joined Wyndham Rewards we were given some odd drinks and sweets! Our two rooms were clean and spacious, and on the quiet side of the hotel. Coffee is available in the reception area in the morning, or you can opt for the hotel's breakfast which we did not do. Nearby there is a bus / train station, in which there appears to be some kind of shop that has a regular crowd of people outside. Most were drinking alcohol regardless of the time of day!. There are a few cafes within walking distance, and the city centre is about a 25 minute walk away. Taxis are plentiful, though there were five of us and the hotel were unable to order one that would take more than 4!
My room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I slept with a white noise machine on because there is some noise due to the elevated train station being just across the street from the hotel. It was a bit strange that my room only had three small drawers and one exposed wooden bar above the drawers to hang clothes. Also, this was the first hotel I've ever stayed in that didn't provide washcloths, only large towels. There were some shady characters hanging out at some kind of bar across the street, but otherwise it seems like a safe area. Overall it was a decent stay and got the job done.
Meets the basic needs, but not the best views. Located perfectly to use local transportation, connects with all modes of transportation making distances easy to cover. some items were stolen unfortunately from our room, realised it when we returned from our trip.
Overall my stay here was very good. My internet access was cut off at 00:01 the day I was expected to check out. I did not report the issue but the hotel should consider that folks may still need Wi-fi the morning of departure day.
Located near the station, it is a convenient place to stay if you need to be central. The staff is very friendly and competent. The room itself is well arranged. A negative point is the train line that passes by, even if on the 2nd floor it seems the train goes through the room.
The TRYP by Wyndham is a well kept secret in Frankfurt. The price is right and this corner hotel sits very close to trams and trains to venture near and far in Frankfurt. Rooms are clean and skipping a day of linen care will get you 5 euros to spend toward fancy coffee or drinks at the Lobby Bar. Breakfast is served for a daily extra charge but coffee/tea and apples are free every morning.
friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms! close to train station and restaurants. great buffet breakfast, a lot of breakfast items to choose from. all the staff spoke English and very helpful in answering various questions of interest. I would highly recommend staying here while in Frankfurt.
I spent 10 nights at the Tryp and had a nice stay. I had a couple of requests in advance of my stay (type of bedding because of back issues, ironing equipment): the staff was prompt to respond and accommodate my requests. The hotel is nice (not fancy at all) and clean. It is a 15-20 min walk away from Messe Frankfurt, which is super convenient. The area is safe, so don't be put off by the 24/7 convenience store/bar across the street. Speaking of which, some of my colleagues , whose rooms were on that side of the street and on lower floors, were disturbed by the noise (apparently drunk people tend to fight at night). Other colleagues were inconvenienced by the train, starting at 4:30 am. I guess I was lucky I was in the good aisle of the hotel, as I didn't experience any of this. But you better be warned and ask the reception for a quiet room...
This hotel is very close to The Messe Frankfurt Exibition as well as the city center of Frankfurt. The staff is helpful and vey kind towards customers. Very comfortable, spacious and well isolated ( inside/ uotside noises) rooms.
