My mother and I enjoyed eating hot soup by the fireplace as we were both chilled by the weather. We all slept SO well in our beds. The house gave us the perfect place for my family to gather from across the U.S. and connect. We didn't need to leave the house for anything. Bonus - Mother Nature gave us two beautiful sunsets!!

Everything was wonderful. The air was crisp outside but warm and cozy inside. Every essential was available. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 5 adults and one baby and little pup. The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries before our arrival and were great to work at checkout. We hope to return during the warmer seasons to get the full lake life experience. This is NOT a complaint just a recommendation for guests. If you are planning on staying with a baby or someone you would be concerned with an open staircase consider bringing or renting an additional baby gate. The hosts graciously provide one for use but having the second helped greatly.

Absolutely perfection! Our plans changed from when we originally booked. The hosts were so gracious and helped us reschedule. The property was so beautiful. And if we forgot something, it was probably already there. We enjoyed taking the boat out and being on the beautiful lake.We definitely plan to tell our friends and family about this and possibly looking to rebook for another vacation! Thank you so the hosts for an excellent experience!

My wife, Judy, and I had a great time fishing and boating The property has great views of the lake gorgeous sunsets every night. The house was stocked with everything that you could think of. Laura and Kirk are awesome great to work with and very responsive overall it was a great place to stay, and we would definitely do it again.

Great family time

We thoroughly enjoy every aspect of our stay. The home is perfect and just as described, the outdoor areas and property is lovely. We have stayed in lots of VRBO properties and this is in the top! Definitely would stay again. Handley’s were great to work with- super prompt with communication. Very helpful! Wonderful time at this quaint, clean and well appointed home… nothing left to chance!

Lovely Easter weekend on Fox Lake

Our family spent Easter weekend at the lake house. The house was filled with thoughtful extras from our host. Snacks in a welcome basket, lots of appliances, cookware, etc., toiletries in the bathrooms and more.

Great spot to relax, great host

Really great location on the lake. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but not dangerous or anything like that. The property is as advertised, it's a lake house vacation home in Fox Lake. The host was awesome and communicated well, lots of amenities, above and beyond what you would normally get with most hosts. I really loved the views and outdoor space. The kids loved the entertainment systems, TVs everywhere in the house. Beds were very comfy and the house was very clean. Thanks for letting us stay in your amazing lake house.

Wintry Retreat

Had a wonderful time at this property over President's Day weekend. It was cozy and well-appointed, and the view is amazing, even if it was mostly a snowy frozen lake! We got a nice sunset the last evening. We were provided many amenities like coffee and some snacks, and we had what we needed in the kitchen to make yummy meals. The beds and pillows were great, and the bathrooms were nice. The ice maker line might have been frozen, but there were ice cube trays and it was fine. Having the big brita dispenser in the refrigerator was perfect, too.Thanks for having us!

We were so grateful to have such a convenient and well supplied home for our family to stay in. Excellent accommodations

Our family gathered in this lovely home. It is the best VBRO that we have stayed in! The place was clean and fully stocked with such great things. It felt like we were staying with relatives rather than in a rental home. The kitchen has all of the pots, pans, silverware, plates, spices, coffee, and snacks that you could want. And the bathrooms have all the things that you might forget.And so many activities to do. It was winter time so we could not take advantage of the kayaks on the lake. But the jigsaw puzzles and the games that were available really helped us during our times of being in the house.

An absolutely perfect lakeside setting!

We truly enjoyed our five night stay at this Chain O'Lakes jewel. Everything was perfect, from the well-appointed kitchen to the corn hole pitch and the lovely outdoor living room complete with net curtains to keep the bugs at bay. There were so many little extra touches that made the stay even more memorable. Plus we had a blast puttering around in the TriToon. Five stars all the way!
