This is very much a hostel for the price of a hotel. The front door was unlocked (and remained so the entire stay) upon arrival and there was no front desk or check in area. You are essentially walking into someone’s (messy) home. We eventually knocked on the door labeled private and a confused woman said to go to the open room with the key in the door- did not confirm our name, reservation number, or anything. I asked about parking, as the street parking available mentioned being permit required, and was handed the woman’s personal cell phone to speak with “the owner”. “The owner” assured me it was not a big deal but could provide us the permit in person in “20 minutes to an hour”. Not wanting to waste our trip awaiting this unnamed person, we asked them to leave the permit under our door and message us through the Expedia app when this was done.
The shower in room was an ADVENTURE. You had to pull a string to start the water, slide the glass shower door that opened inwards, and navigate a box in shower with 2 knobs. The water was either ice cold or molten hot, and we just had to speed run our shower and alternate between the two temperatures.
I will say the breakfast provided was yummy- lots of snack items, fruit, granola, yogurt. Unfortunately there was no space to eat in the room other than the bed (there was also no common kitchen/dining area we could have gone to alternatively).
Overall we did not feel entirely safe staying here and would not recommend.
