Receptionist was very helpful in getting our reservation completed. Room was okay but needs upgrading. Breakfast was okay.
When we went to our non-smoking room (approximately 3:00 pm), the cigarette smell hit us as we opened the door. Then we noticed the room in disarray. We wondered if we had walked into someone else's room. We then realized it hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. Another couple was right behind us and said they had just gotten a key for the same room! Turned out to be the room next to ours but the wrong room number was written on their card. When they opened the door to their room, it had not been cleaned either. We went to the front desk to straighten things out and the manager was very unprofessional. We were given another "non-smoking" room and it wreaked of smoke all night long. There were many families staying there long-term. Wasn"t sure if we wanted to eat breakfast there but, after looking it over, we did. There were no problems with breakfast.
We chose this spot bc it was convenient and cheap. If you don't mind dirty bedskirts, holes in doors, mold around the tub, and loose door locks (looked like it's been almost kicked in) then you'll enjoy your stay. The pool had green slime all along the bottom and sides so we avoided that. The bed was comfortable and our sheets were clean but that's about as good as it got. Tube tv, filthy bedskirts, and burnholes on bed spread. Could also hear the people walking above us. Luckily we were really only there for sleeping. I will for sure spend a little more next time to stay somewhere else.
This place stinks real bad the pillows and bed was really small the carpet had stains and the breakfast was small and crappie
I attended a convention in downtown Fort Wayne. The commute was reasonable and the accommodations were good. Good to get out of the heat in a cool room.
We were attending a concert and reserved a SMOKING room online, which was confirmed by email and again a week prior to the date. When we arrived we were told our room was not available and that there was only one smoking room and it was occupied. We were comped for the difference and given another room. The air conditioned was in pieces in this room and another room was given. Even though we were to have our bill reduced my credit card bill shows differently. What TERRIBLE business!
The only reason I'm giving this "So Called" Hotel one star is because the front desk staff during the day in very nice and it is in a perfect location. First: The room has black mold in the window frame. The support walls are cracked in the corners and floor is very uneven. Which suggests a shift in foundation. In room furniture is stained and nasty. The lobby furniture is just as bad. We stayed 2 nights. Both nights a female prostitute tried to open our room door. Then proceeded to go to the room across the hall.Bottom line, this place is a crap hole where hookers hang out. Stay away!! Very nasty dirty and unsafe. Beware!!
My family and I were completely comfortable. The room was very nice and clean. We fully enjoyed our stay.
I was told when I booked the room that the swimming pool would be ready for Memorial Dau weekend. The pool was not open, the hotel needs to be updated. The room had cracks in the ceiling and the window was cracked. The room was actually leaning like the Tower of Pisa and I stayed at a Super 8 in Big Rapids, Michigan a year ago, and it was awesome! Clean, indoor pool and hot tub. For a city the size of Ft. Wayne, O was expecting a very nice Super 8. I was very disappointed. Dane Whipple
I had booked two rooms. The furniture and carpet in both rooms were very dirty, to the point my parents would not sit in the chairs. The staff was very nice.
