Magnuson Hotel Fort Wayne North – Coliseum

The Magnuson is what happens when I'm in town for a convention and I forget to book in time to stay at the Convention Center. It's clean, and that's nice, but that's about it. The pillows were rock-like, and the mattress was a little lumpy, but really, it was cheap and an easy drive to the convention center. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, but it's exactly what I expect in a budget hotel...budget.

Stayed here during a convention on Ft. Wayne. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of everything on the north side. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Will ne staying here next year for the same convintion.

It was very cheap, so I should have expected nothing. Not clean, rarely someone at front desk and the smell was over deodorized to cover up a smokey place. We left and went to another place. Worth paying more for a decent place.

The smell in the room was overwhelming. I think they had overdosed on air freshener or some cleaner. The refrigerator froze the food we put in it. They gave us two towels for our whole family. The breakfast was waffles, muffins, and one kind of cereal. I would not call that a deluxe breakfast. There was a creepy guy walking through the hallway smoking when it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. It was not a good experience.

The HJ's is an old hotel, which is fine in most cases, but this one is "grungy" and the toilet bowl had a ring around it when we walked into the room so that should never happen. The pillows looked used, just not a good and clean place to stay.

Noises air conditioner loud. Person smoking in lobby. Supposed to be non smoking facility. Needed receipt said we had to get it from otbitzs.please send receipt.

Had to stay an extra day for a work trip...HOJO to the rescue! They had a great staff that took care of my room right away. This is not a 4-star hotel, so I didn't expect a 4-star hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and everything worked. What more can I ask for?

OMG This place is filthy and so outdated i would not recomended this place to nobody !What a bad Choice!

We had two room book one at the being of week and one at the end. We canceled the second room. Would not recommend.

I have stayed here two years in a row. I like the location to restaurants and the area. Will be staying again next year.

Very clean small hotel. Location was difficult to find, but close to downtown. Exercise equipment was all broken.

Hotel did what we needed however you get what you pay for. Don't expect much for the breakfast. rooms are comfortable and clean but no plush towels. It is what we expected a place to shower and crash after the racing. Place could use some light maintenance. Like I said it is is what we expected for $48.00 a night plus tax of course. staff was very friendly. We will stay again next year.

I was looking for something fairly inexpensive but not old, worn, and gross, and that's exactly what I experienced here. I was unsure but pleasantly surprised at the look and cleanliness of our room.

I stayed for one night while we visited Fort Wayne for two days. The staff was great, the room was nice and clean equipped with a flat screen tv, fridge and microwave and an incredibly comfy bed. Even though there were lots of families, it was also completely quiet. The breakfast was what you would expect for a continental breakfast. It's very close to plenty of restaurants. I would stay here again. This hotel is a deal breakers if you are tight in budget.

Motel was what I needed to stay for a convention. Place was clean and quiet for a night of sleep, in the heart of a shopping district with may choices of restaurants int he area.

Just a very basic hotel but very decent price worked well for my needs.

Very good but the hair dryer didn't work in the room!

Very close to where we needed to be ,shopping, and restaurants .

There's something to be said for a hotel that lists an iron and ironing board under "amenities." This hotel is in serious need of updating. It also had a distinct musty feel in the halls and room. It is extremely close to dining and shopping, however.

Where to begin? Questioned whether or not the sheets had been changed between occupants, as there was a strand of long hair, crumbs, stains, etc., on the sheets (wondered about bedbugs...). Carpet was old & worn. Refrigerator & microwave did not work; discovered clock radio did not work unless lights were on. (Is this the reason the frig & micro didn't work?) "Breakfast" (a choice of 2 cereals, toast/bagels in defective toaster, rotten fruit) was served in a former guest room; a total of 3 tables to accommodate guests. One of the grossest places I've ever stayed.
