We stayed at the Huggy Bear numerous times while our son attended nearby Taylor University, and we were very happy with our choice each time. The staff is wonderful, and the rooms comfortable, though not posh (and depending on how close your room is to the office, the wifi may be spotty or strong). We really appreciated the refrigerator and microwave in the room, and there is a discount store just down the road, in case you need to pick up a few groceries to put in the fridge. We took advantage of late check-in each time. We have, without hesitation, recommended Huggy Bear to others traveling in the area. Great value!

An awesome place to stay. Clean and comfortable and pride of ownership show. A great place to stay when getting immersed into the culture and life of James Dean in nearby Fairmount. Avoid the box motels and such, and relive the 60s with modern touches. A great place to stay, right down to the brass key and plastic room tag.

Even though I did not need to use them, the room came with fridge, microwave and TV. The bed was comfortable.
Got there late but got in my room. Took a shower and air conditioning worked so I was out quick. Not the nicest place, but for as cheap as it is it was fine.
This hotel is below average. I wish they would have had a hair dryer I ended up leaving with my hair wet. they did have a refrigerator and microwave and it was easy access to the freeway, also it was a good price
