Not a new place but perfect for a get a way and a place to stay. Beautiful beach area.
We checked into a double queen room with partial ocean view and went to go check out the room. We walked into it and discovered period blood on the love seat, what appeared to be blood on the "do not disturb" sign, a giant stain in the middle of he carpet (we just assumed it was blood too). Gross smudges were on the tv and what looked like coffee grounds were on the bed. We had the manager come look at the room because we were not going to stay there. We showed him all the concerns and he didn't deny it was blood. I also showed him the stuff on he bed and he proceeded to wipe the stuff off the bed onto my legs. I was wearing shorts and needless to say was very displeased. We told him we would not stay in this room and he did offer us money back or he said he had one room left. We decided to stay only because it was pirate weekend and other hotels were all booked up. We checked out the room first and it seemed clean but we cleaned everything all over again anyway including repeatedly lysoling the carpet . He did upgrade us to the beach facing room which had a great view but also only had one bed instead of two. I would not stay again. It had great reviews online and the pictures looked good but in person the do not look as nice. It is an older hotel and the ceiling is peeling and much updating needs to be done. Also we found some cockroaches and managed to kill one.. I know it's Florida and they are everywhere but it just was the last straw. Will definitely not stay again!
It was nice but the pool and the laundry room were close by 7 pm not good, you advertise office open till 10 pm not true everything close at 7 pm not convenient. Everything else was good.
Nice location away from all the hustle. Good restaurant selection within walking distance. Accommodating staff. Friendly house keepers. AC a little load and paint a bit stained up in spots. But , over all satisfied with our stay. Especially for 100 bucks.
We came for a family vacation at the beach. The room was great in that it was very clean had a fully stocked kitchen so we could cook if we wanted to. The pots were clean although not new. The room was spacious and the closet space was nice. However, the AC unit was incredibly loud and, being directly above the bed, made it difficult to sleep with all that noise. The unit was full of dust also and once in a while a dust ball would fly out of it and land on the bed.. There was no AC in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Overall, this is a very clean but an older and run-down hotel on the beach. I would stay there again if not for the obnoxiously loud AC unit.
Nice and quiet, lots of space in the room with a kitchenette.
Stayed over a long weekend (Friday to Monday). It's an older hotel that has had some minor upgrades in room furnishings and cosmetics, but no real upgrades to building or facilities. That being said, everything was in decent condition. The staff was very friendly and addressed some minor requests we had our fist night. The room was equipped with a full kitchen so we were able to prepare meals throughout the day without having to leave the hotel and figure out where to go. The hotel location is about 2.5 miles away from what seems to be the "center of town" where the beach bars and restaurants were located. It's a short 7 minutes drive away. So if you're looking for something that's in the think of it, this might be a bit far off. We enjoyed that it was farther away from that and didn't mind the short drive. All in all, I would consider booking the Carousel Inn for a short weekend getaway again.
We enjoyed our stay here. Really wasn't bad. The rooms could use some tlc and some new paint. But for the location on the beach, near the trolley stops, it was perfect. Good value for the money. We would stay here again.
This hotel was nothing fancy, but I knew that when I booked it. All I wanted was something reasonable, clean and on the beach. The staff was very nice and our room was very clean. Also, it was nice having an actual key for the door, not a card key. If I were to come back to Ft. Myers Beach, I would stay here again.
This is a GREAT quiet beach hotel. It's down the road quite a ways from Times Square, but that makes it quiet. There's a 7/11, CVS, and 2 grocery stores nearby for convenience. It's right on a beautiful spot of beach, between 2 other resorts.
Excellent location with beach. Next door is Outrigger with Tiki bar so that's convenient for a quick drink. But the room is rather dirty. We were immediately disappointed as we walked into the room. The shower is very small :( and the entire suite has only 1 small mirror at bathroom sink. Huge living room which I can use to do yoga, and I'm grateful for bringing my yoga mat because otherwise the carpet is too dirty to sit on. convenient location if you have a car. It's a pet-friendly hotel, so I guess the carpet is meant to be dirty...
Fantastic customer service, great location, loved the room. Def will be back
Overall it was a pleasant experience. The room was very clean and comfortable.
clean, quiet, close to beach..away from all the congested areas.
We had a great time! Hotel was just what we wanted, on beach . Nothing fancy no big frills. Comfortable and clean. Nice to have fridge and kitchenette. We ate most meals out but it was nice for beverages and snacks. We don't like highrise hotels so this was perfect for us! Who wants all those stairs or waiting on elevators! It was out the door and a few feet from the beach! We rented beach chairs and umbrella from the Outrigger next door. Had a great view of fireworks! We flew down so this was a nice perk. Would stay here again!
Very quiet area, off the beaten path. Will stay there again.
We highly recommend this hotel. Very good and modern design, first row at the beach, and perfect service. For us it was the best hotel on our Florida round trip.
Carousel Beach Inn is a nice place to come back to have a wonderful vacations !.
This hotel was quaint, I liked that! It was right on the beach with a BEAUTIFUL view of the gulf!!!! The price was fantastic, however; the tiled shower had mold in it, there was no fan in the bathroon and no where to hang your overnight belongings (such as hooks on the back of the door or walls).
Beach right out your door, and units face the gulf, staff would rather not be bothered, and not very helpful with area questions.
