I must say my stay in this hotel was a different experience. And I mean that in a great way . A young man by the name of Darnel who is part of the valet staff went above and beyond to wash and clean off a whole bunch of bugs off my truck . I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in the past with excellent service but never came across one that offer car washes. Definitely recommend staying here, you won’t regret it .
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Staff members are professional and responsive. I stayed in a balcony suite which was pretty much fully stocked. There is a mall within walking distance and a grocery store across the street. My only complaint: Valet parking only and it's $35 per day. This is truly outrageous. I stay at Doubletree's all over Florida and this one, by far, is the most expensive for valet. There is no option for self-parking. There should be special valet rates for HHonors members.
I booked this hotel via priceline in a bid. For the price and location, it was a good deal but before arriving, I was concerned about the condition of the hotel from the reviews I was reading on here. No need to worry too much about the reviews. We had more of an apartment style room overlooking the intercoastal. Loved being able to look out of the window and seeing the boats pass by. There is a stop for the water taxi outside the hotel. Our room was clean and we had a handicap bathroom. The water pressure was great and it was nice to have a small kitchenette in the room. There is also a small coffee pot with coffee. There were two tvs. The bed was super comfortable. The hotel does need to be updated. It is very gray and feels more like an apartment building. The lobby is in desperate need of an update but for a quick two nights at the beach, the price is good and the hotel is decent. The elevators are awful and as a designer, the place needs to be updated.
There was thick dust inside the vents and on the sprinkler head that looks like it has been there for years. The chairs to the table were ripped and falling a part. The handle on the microwave was broken. I didn't dare to take my shoes off because the carpet was dingy. I won't go back there especially at 175.00!
Here for a Mother’s Day visit, and I slept in a very comfortable bed . Wonderful views from my room. Front desk was very welcoming! Great food and I had a great stay!! Close to the mall too, just a short walk from the hotel.
Really nice hotel and staff. I would like to mention a few of the staff members that were very helpful. Ms. Jackson who did a great job of resolving an issue, Jennifer the bartender who served excellent drinks and Rose who was always available to answer questions. Overall good hotel that is very close to the beach.
The view of the inner coastal was fantastic! We had a few hiccups along the way but the staff is excellent, and we were provided with all the amenities we needed. Rose was fantastic and corrected a charge made to our room quickly.
This hotel is our go-to place in Ft. Lauderdale. Conveniently located on the Intercoastal, with a water taxi stop, adjacent to the mall, and two blocks from the beach. The suites are clean, and a balcony on the ocean side is worth the uptick.
We had a sales meeting here. Angela helped our group the entire time. She took great care of us!!!!! You should request she works your event. The property was helpful and the services were excellent. Thanks!
This is my go-to staycation hotel! We were here over the weekend for the Fort Lauderdale Air Show. The kids age in range from 10-15. We all had a blast and it was a convenient location to the beach. The kids loved the cookies and the staff was generous with them. The boys even made up a song about getting cookies! I would like to mention Ryan provided us with exceptional service this trip, even checking with the family to make sure they were having fun. Can’t wait for the next “reason” to visit.
