Great location, staff was friendly and helpful. The room however was not great. Dead bugs on the floor, ashes in the sink, just a number of things that were not acceptable. I don't know how you could clean a room but leave a sink full of ashes? Strange.

Very nice hotel. It’s only 10 minutes from the airport. The rooms were nice. The staff was exceptional. We definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We were put in a room furthest away from lobby. There was a dog next door barking all night. We were then woken up by chainsaws at 8am. We asked for a late checkout and she advised sure 12 noon. The book already reads 12 noon checkout. She said, "oh well thats wrong". When checking out at 11 am because they were still cutting trees right outside our room... we told front desk about the experience and not even an apology was given.

We checked in late at night and got a room with a squeaky and hollow bed which amounted to a very bad night. When we woke up, we realized that right in front of the window was a sort of leafy panel (part of the outside structure on that particular building) that simply blocked the view on the marina. We asked for switching room in the morning and that was done without any discussion. The room we got on our second night was far better. It had a balcony and a view on the pool and the bed was adequate. A totally different experience. The strongest point at that property is the pool(s). They are just superb, not crowded, well maintained. We also had lunch at the Orchids, the grill next to the pool and that was reasonably priced and tasty. Friendly staff too. The extra-large lounge in the lobby is elegant. Since the check out was at 11am and we had a plane to catch much later that day, we were allowed to take a dip in the pool in the afternoon and got some towels although we were officially checked out. Nice gesture. Car renters or owners, beware: self parking is $30/night, valet $35. We did not try the breakfast buffet at Mariners. It was not available on the first morning and sounded a bit pricey for whatever was offered on the menu. Altogether, the staff was great, in particular Louis who took us on his golf cart (without us asking) to the neighboring restaurant (Pelican Landing) and refused a tip because as he put it, his offer "came from the heart". Rare enough!

Only 1 day stay at the hotel. The overnight was hot and the AC barely worked making it extremely uncomfortable. Upon leaving the following morning, the front desk receptionist barely batted an eye when I explained the AC situation. Sorry was the word used. Sorry is a sorry word. She then proceeded to charge me $31 for overnight parking. I explained that my brother stopped by the hotel for only a couple of hours and did not stay overnight as he is a local. No reply! $31!!! I guess this is the new experience to expect these days. Didn't get what I pai for so beware! Sorry!

Nice hotel. Retro architecture. Pool and play area very nice. However took over 5 hours to get a roll away bed for my 4 yr old. Called housekeeping 3 times and every time they promised ASAP. Finally at 9pm way after bedtime they finally brought a bed. King bed was like sleeping in a taco and not comfortable at all. Hotel needs major updating

Very nice hotel. customer service was great. rooms very spacious

I had enjoyed the hotel and room assigned, definitely I will be staying soon and enjoying the entire environment

Amenities are cool, beach within walking distance, perfect locale for tri-country travel.

bueatiful photos and what looked like a super low price induced me into booking this room 20 minutes from my office instead of Best Western right up the street. As a long time business traveler I should have read the fine print. Parking was $30 a night. The desk staff could not even explain how to pay for it. The room for the low price was a garden room with a view of the hedge and the parking lot despite the hotel being empty. The bed was comfy and nice bathroom but the ac was as loud as a jet plane. Should have stayed at the Best Western

Super nice staff. Seemed recently renovated. Lovely grounds, clean and v comfortable. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

Love the low-key lounge open til 11pm serving food.

Pool area is nice but rooms are terrible. Dirty rooms with uncomfortable, old squeaky beds. Air conditioning and bathroom fan were very loud.

Staff was awesome food was delicious. We wish we had more time

I was disappointed in the accommodations that was first offered to me.,Had a distance walk from the main hotel to another building where I was shown an older room that was not updated yet. The shower did not have proper water pressure. There was a problem with getting hot the water hot. I refused the room and taken back to the front desk where I insisted on a new renovated room in my the main hotel. The hotel staff was very accommodating once I explained my expectations. I was given a room on the 5th floor over looking the Marina. The room was newly renovated and the view was good. The only other issue I had was the room had high humidity so that the bed sheets were very damp. All in all my experience with the Hotel Staff was First Class. Once the renovations of the restaurant at the top of the main tower isre complete and all the hotel guest rooms are completely renovated I will consider returning for a second stay and not until then!

Great location excellent staff beautiful grounds with lots to do and great views. Can't wait to come back

Hotel shows evidence of wear. Basic areas in the room are clean but details are lacking. Things are dusty and lacking attention. Safes are not secured to anything. Our room was on the bottom level. The hallways are poured cement. I did not like the fact that carts (probably for laundry ) were rolled up and down the outside making a lot of noise early ( before Dawn). I think the cost of the room did not suit the environment. Go elsewhere.

great experience with friendly staff and welcoming ambiance!

Dear Herelle, Thank you for your review and feedback. I'd like to apologize for the initial impression you had upon checking in with us. However, I'm happy to know that our Front Desk team was able to accommodate you in changing your room. From this point onward, I'm happy to know you enjoyed your time with us - from relaxing at the pool area to the excellent and friendly guest service. I will be sure to recognize Louis for going above and beyond in providing you with friendly guest service and for making such a positive impact on the remainder of your stay. While we set our parking rates to be competitively priced compared to the surrounding hotels in the area, I do apologize that this posed as a major inconvenience for you. I can assure you that I will address this issue with the team in order for the pricing to be communicated effectively to all guests. Despite these issues, I hope you will visit us again the next time you travel to Fort Lauderdale. Warmest Regards, Amaury Piedra
