8/10 Good

The room is managed separately from the resort, which is worth noting. Overall, it met expectations and the view was excellent. A pack-and-play was provided upon request, and having a washer/dryer was a major plus for a longer stay. There were a few downsides. The main door didn’t have a chain lock, which is something to consider with small kids. The layout felt a bit cramped due to extra chairs, especially once luggage and gear were in the room. Some spare linens had light staining, and the balcony glass and sliding doors were dirty, which took away from the view. We also arrived to the sliding door open and the AC off.Minor issues included a loose bedroom doorknob, a microwave turntable that didn’t function properly, and some buildup in the shower around the fixtures. Towels and toilet paper were also somewhat limited, so we had to be mindful during the stay. The resort itself had a few surprises. The pool was under construction with a noticeably lowered water level and ongoing work that created a mess. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing or at check-in. The center “pool” is actually just a reflection pool, so it’s not usable.Drink prices at the pool bar are very high, even for the area—around 20 for a piña colada, compared to 12 on the menu from four years ago (about a 67% increase). As a result, very few people were buying drinks.Overall, it was still a good value stay, but there are a number of small issues and a few surprises that are worth knowing ahead of time.
