It has a rather tired air about it. Some attempt has been made to smarten it up but it needs more than just a holding operation. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful - hence the two stars - even directing us to a local Chinese restaurant. We were in a rather strange room. It looked as if it was meant for longer stays as there was a separate room with a large sink and a wall-mounted TV - althought there was only one chair in it and you couldn't see the TV from the bed. When we mentioned to the receptionist that it was sold as a non-smoking room and that it really did have a strong smell of cigarette smoke, we were given a can of air freshner.... Maybe I'm looking for too much for my money but the minimum I would hope for is that the electrical appliances were safe and not held together with sticky tape. Given its position just off the main through route, it needs to get its act together, have some money spent on it and start earning some real money.
Stayed 1 night only accomodation available. Budget motel reception small. Paid cash as staff not able to use credit machine. Room dark and basic. 1 double bed TV fridge and microwave. Bathroom worn. Good WIFI didn't stay for breakfast. I wouldn't stay again
Did not like this place! Felt like we were in a carport add-on room. Overhead light was on the side of the wall - tub did not drain - my husband had to work on the toilet to make it flush! TV remote would not work. I think people lived here full time and they just rent out a few of the rooms! Would not recommend, did not enjoy this stay!
This is a strange place--really. It is a very old motel that was rehabbed with the best of intentions, I am sure. But running an extension cord under tape across the entry way to the air conditioner is a bit much. So was the appearance of a splice cap coming out of the heater in the bathroom (yes, at least there was a GFTI plug). We stayed here after camping for nine days and it was cheaper ($76 a night is not cheap, even now a days) and definitely clean. No leaky faucets, nice shower head in a shower stall, everything worked as expected. Would I stay here again--don't know; I would look for other places. I did turn in the three-inch knife I found on the ground to the management yet I did not feel unsafe. Strange place.
Close to downtown and very nice. We just needed a simple, inexpensive room to sleep while visiting our son. This place was perfect. Quiet, comfortable and right what we needed. We will stay there next time as well.
We booked this motel from one night during our travel back home. When we first pulled into the parking lot, we had our doubts, but the room and service turned out to be very nice. The manager was very nice. No continental breakfast, but he did have coffee and doughnuts laid out the next morning.
I stayed here during a CSU orientation in June 2016 and although it looked a bit seedy and yes the surrounding neighborhood a bit sketchy I had a wonderful 2 night stay. All and all for the price it was an excellent choice. The front desk lady couldn't have been more friendly and helpful - great customer service. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The best part it is only 2 miles to CSU and a straight shot down College ave.
My family did not feel safe leaving the car to get to the room because of the gentleman that appeared wasted on the stairway. We waited for awhile for him to go inside but when he never did we had no choice but to go another long way around.. The lock on the door did not work, which was very concerning. Hopefullly they have fixed it now. This was not in a "good" area. The rooms were large, but very worn out. The breakfast was probably the best part of the stay.
Large room, accommodating & helpful management, marginal housekeeping, transitional neighborhood. Stayed here a couple of nights with my husband and found things satisfactory for a short stay where we were only in the room at night. Rooms were fairly well updated but exterior is in need of help. Room would have been good for a family; it contained a king bed plus a futon, and there was a hid-a-bed stored in the closet. Housekeeping was a little haphazard: either the room was not vacuumed daily or the vacuum wasn't quite up to the task. Seems difficult to find a nice but reasonably priced hotel in this part of Colorado during the summer. The motel is located along a major arterial where some newer businesses have been built, but much of the surrounding area seemed a little seedy - don't think I would have been comfortable at this property if I'd been traveling alone.
I am starting this off by saying that this place looks scary. We stopped in a parking lot next door to discuss whether or not we should just let them charge our card $100 and go pay $200 somewhere else. BUT, I am so glad we gave it a try. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had fresh paint. We truly enjoyed our stay. If you are passing through and need a place to sleep, this is perfect. The price was about half or more less than other places in the area and they were fully booked up. I can see why. I'd give the curb appeal 0 of 5, but friendliness and cleanliness were a solid 5. I can also tell you there were NO bedbugs, which I was scared of because of another persons review. I would totally stay here again when passing through.
