Las Lagunas is a special place... We spent our final three nights in Guatemala here mainly to use as a base for exploring Tikal, but it was so wonderful here that we didn't want to ever leave. First of all, the check in process was stellar with cool, wet washcloths given to each of us just prior to the "Welcome Beverage" given to us in the stunning lobby/restaurant area overlooking the lagoon. We soon got into our room (Waterfront Suite #16...our daughter was staying with us) which was stunning to stay the least. The beds look out on to the patio which has a huge hot tub, a sofa, and a small dining area. The patio in turn look out over the lagoon. The rest of the room includes another sofa, a desk, and a cool bathroom with dual shower heads. Once we dropped our luggage , we headed straight for the free "Monkey Island" boat trip which was joyful and fun. You simply could not stop smiling with spider monkeys prancing all over the boat! Back at the hotel, the infinity pool, the kayaks, the foosball table, the dining areas (with great food!), and the on site museum were all quite amazing...and we never even made it up to use the spa which is quite plush. Las Lagunas also arranged a tremendous guide for our Tikal trip: Carlos. Carlos drove us to/from Tikal, taught us things about the plants and animals along the way, and told us snippets of his life story which could be made into a Hollywood movie!

I booked this hotel for my parents and all they talked about was how beautiful and how friendly the staff was! Very happy they enjoyed themselves! Thanks you

I was very please of the staff and service of this hotel. I would love to go back there and recommended to every one
