The design of the reception building. Open layout of the restaurant. The swimming pool. The staff is outstanding.

Beautiful location and close to ruins.

Very nice property. Location convenient for park entrance. Some staff were not very friendly. Restaurant food was not hot. Restaurant appeared short staffed as took forever to bring food or comeback

Being able to walk to Tikal was absolutely incredible. The staff were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our Jungle stay! It is rustic, but fitting given the surroundings.

Surrounded by the Guatemalan treasure, Tikal, this Lodge is like no other. Beautifully updated and focused on enhancing and supporting visitors to this World Heritage site, the lodge and restaurant even transports the visitor from tha airport to the Lodge. Most immediately and notably, staff at the Lodge oversaw the competent, efficient, and emotional response to the aftermath of the CLOSURE of the park, due to quarantine in the fear of the Covid-19 virus. When Guatemala rapidly announced the closure at midnight, staff at the lodge met, rededicated themselves to guest care and served breakfast, assisted in the planned departure of many guests. Then staff transferred all remaining guests by shuttle to the Lodge's sister-hotel in the airport city of Flores, where guests were assured of a lovely, quality stay in Isla de la Flores Hotel for the remainder of their reservation -at no additional charge. Guests from all over the world were comforted, protected, and honored by this dedicated staff and the caring management of the Tikal Jungle Lodge. I have never witnessed the degree of selfless, personal devotion to meeting the responsibility to their guests, as I saw in those scary times in the far-off Guatemalan jungle. Be assured, when the world accommodates the presence of Covid-19, and it will, I can imagine myself among the first to reschedule my tour of Tikal and stay - without doubt - at the Jungle Lodge in Tikal, which Orbitz must publically recognize Best Hoteln 2020.

Location is excellent and staff are great. Definitely the place to go for a visit to Tikal

I liked everything, the room was great, the pool too, all the staff was very kind

Jungle Lodge Hotel is such a wonderful place to stay and to visit Tikal Mayan National Park. Very clean room, friendly staff and delicious food. Beautiful on everything, we'd like to come back.

Considering the the fact that the hotel is in the middle of a national park, the Jungle Lodge was very comfortable and perfect for a visit to the Mayan ruins of Tikal. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When a medical situation occurred they made our transition back to medical facilities in Flores very easy. The Jungle Lodge, in conjunction with it's sister hotel, Isla de Flores, are the perfect way to visit Flores and Tikal.

No internet, shuttle bus schedule is not reasonable. Only two shifts which are 5:00AM and 4:00PM. Otherwise has to pay extra 90US to go to airport.

Lovely, friendly staff, spotless rooms. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. In particular, the driver of the airport shuttle made a special effort to point out landmarks and share the history of the area with us.

I'm a Maya freak and stayed at the Jungle Losge for 4 nights. I used other reviews to make my decision and it didn't disappoint. It's the nicest of the three on site at Tikal, the food was good and it's the only one with a pool. After a 6 hour trek in the jungle, that alone makes it worthwhile. Everyone is friendly and the shuttle service is great. Make sure to book your sunrise or sunset tour with Tony Ortiz through the hotel. It's an extra expense but he's literally The Godfather of Tikal. I thought I knew a lot about this ancient civilization but his knowledge of the site and the culture was impressive. His family has been involved with guiding visitors since the very beginning. Thank you Jungle Lodge and thank you Tony! I'll see you again next year! Oh and don't forget your flashlights. The power goes off at 10pm. You're in the jungle remember. Plus they come in handy for the sunrise and sunset tours which you either enter or leave the park in the dark.

This is an excellent hotel with a great staff and amenities in the remotest of paradises.

Loved the location right next to the park entrance, the pool after a long day of walking was very relaxing & the room was comfortable. The food & drinks were inexpensive & the staff very welcoming.

Jungle lodge is not of the few hotels located in the park, most other accommodations are about 40min-1hour dive away. If you visit Tikal it is a must to do the morning tour at 4am, our guide was Antonio he is the son of the man who discovered one of the temples he works at the hotel make sure to ask for him for your tour. The pool is great after a long hike in the park, make sure to bring plenty of cash and any supplies you might want there are not any cash machines or stores nearby and you must pay your entrance in cash. The rooms are clean and comfortable, no ac but there is hot water in the showers. The restaurant is nice the food is what you expect in a restaurant and not terribly expensive considering they have to ship everything in. All in all a great stay and the staff are very nice and accommodating.
