I stayed for one night in this classic taste villa in a bedroom apartment with kitchen, full equipped. All was well decorated. The building has an Italian glamour with a nice garden! You can walk for about 20 minutes from there to reach the historic center. The neighborhood is very quiet!
Me and my partner stayed here whilst visiting Florence for 3 nights. The apartment was very clean and spacious. On arrival we were greeted at reception and time was spent informing us of places to visit and eat. There is a bus stop around the corner which takes you straight into the heart of the city or walking takes around 30 minutes (we chose to walk most of our stay and the walk was very easy). Clean, bus into heart of city amd friendly staff. Would visit again.
It's a clean place with friendly staff. The lovely front desk lady, was very helpful in showing us directions and suggesting restaurants. It's a bit further away from the centre about a 20-30 min walk, but there are buses that you can take. Bus #11, and 36, 37 will all take you to the centre (a short ride). And if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but still fairly close, then this a perfect place. It has a beautiful front yard and it's gated so you feel very safe. You can also park there for 10 euros/night.
Only a short bus ride from the sites, this apartment suited us well - lovely building, though our kitchen and bathroom were in need of updating. Friendly staff and a comfortable stay overall, though be warned you will be required to leave on the dot of 10am the day of departure or the cleaners will be after you!
My husband and I have spent 7 nights at this nice and romantic place. We loved and enjoyed each moment spent in Florence. The hotel, residence is located in a green place of Florence, near by Boboli Garden and about 20 min distance by Ponte Vecchio. We have used the bus only to reach the train station or to go at Piazzale Michelangelo. The only minus of the beautiful residence were the mosquitos and a not very comfortable bed.
We found this residence comfortable and the staff incredibly friendly. Upon arrival we were greeted and given some information on the local amenities, on how to get around town on the buses. We found the location particularly good as it was a walkable distance from the main tourist spots and just outside the traffic restriction ZTL zone as we were arriving in a rental car. I would recommend to others.
It is located a bit far from the city center, in the neighborhood with alot of villas. 30-40mins walk from Ponte Vecchio.. Friendly staff.. Apartment was quiet dusty, but bigger than expected. Nothing extraordinary, but enough good to stay for a few days.
We booked the room thinking it was inside the old villa but we were located in a basement annex room C6. It was freezing the whole time and you can see your breath inside the room. It was like to be inside a fridge for three nights even with the heating on the room never was warm. We complaint as the heating was off for a day but things were the sawn when heating bak on. The first night water falling noise was constant from 12 am to 8,30 am until the hotel cleaner stop the WC toilet noise next door. Please do not book this hotel it is the coldest room I never be in my whole life and I a frequent traveller. Do not book this hotel it is a waist of money and ruin my
As I plan another, overdue visit to Florence, I'm booking at Residence I Colli, bringing back memories of a lovely former stay. Majestic looking with a delightful, tree filled garden, it's an enjoyable place to unwind after wandering the city; quiet, but very close to the the buzz of Florence. It's reasonable and in an excellent location. Its atmosphere and decor may be more Michelangelo than Missoni, but that's what Florence is (historically, at least) about!
We stayed here for a week long business conference/congress near the Porta Romana. The residence was two blocks up Viale Machiavelli past Porta Romana. It is in a residential area with large trees, nice views and it was very quiet! The owners lives on the top floor and are very welcoming. Our room was a converted apartment with kitchen (4 gas burners and refrigerator), sitting room, bathroom (tub/shower) and bedroom in the main residence building. It was clean and bright, each room having a window. Wi-fi was strong in sitting room but could be weak in the bedroom at times. The staff brought a fresh set of towels on day 3 but linen changes were on request. The rooms did get warm during afternoon tea but cooled at night. There was one oscillating fan in the bedroom or you could open the windows. There was also a portable AC unit in the closet but we did not try it out during our stay. This residence is in walking distance to the Boboli and Bardini Gardens plus Plazzo Pitti. The Duomo is within walking range too, but its a bit of a short hike. We enjoyed our walks to the historic center no matter what time of day or night. After passing the several green grocers with fresh, large mushrooms we decided to take advantage of the kitchen and cook dinner. The kitchen was suitably equipped for pasta dinners or omelets and coffee in the morning. Cooking at the residence made for a nice break from the tourist horde. I would recommend Residence I Colli. It is historic, away from the tourists and associated noise in a beautiful neighborhood. You feel more like a local then a tourist. There are neighborhood restaurants near the Porta Romana and a great bar on the Palazzo Pitti side where you can pick up your morning coffee or your afternoon Prosecco.
