This is a fine 3 star hotel, excellent location, clean nice size rooms, AC works perfect. Owners Barbera & Emanuel are wonderful people. Hotel is very reasonable. Breakfast was more than adequate. I will be sleeping here many more nights this year for business !!
Hotel is situated in a great position, just outside the main hustle and bustle but close enough to everything in the city. The staff were always very friendly also. Our room was basic however it was very clean so I can't complain. A nice continental breakfast and particularly liked the specific gluten free section that they had. If I was to come back to Florence I wouldn't hesitate about staying here, very good value for money. A clean basic hotel!
We just came back from a 4 night stay in Hotel Privilege, Florence. The location was just perfect. It's in the historical center but away from the noise and congestion. Our room had a view of Piazza Michaelangelo over the Arno. Hotel Privilege is in the Santa Croce area and within walking distance of both sides of the river, Santa Spirito/Pitti Palace etc. on one side and Duomo etc. on the other side. There were 3 of us and our room was plenty big for 3 beds. The complimentary breakfast was good and there was also a menu with extra items (cooked ) which could be ordered and paid for separately. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's a small hotel and it felt safe and secure. I'd definitely stay there again and particularly if I was travelling alone.
Pros: A very nice breakfast spread. A friendly staff. Free wifi (although the connection isn't great). The rooms are large and well put together. There are plenty of chairs and couches throughout the hotel to sit and wait for your friends to get ready. There is a back garden and sitting area. Cons: No iron in the room. The aforementioned slow connection for the wifi. The shower was a weird drain built into the floor, with no guard. So if it drained slow (which it did the first night), it would soak your entire floor very quickly.
The staff was ok, not very friendly. The breakfast wasn't that great. Money went missing from our room when the maid came (we didn't want our room to be cleaned in the first place) and the managers didn't do anything about it. The rooms were a good size and it was kind of close to city center. Definitely not the best hotel we stayed in here in our 3 weeks of Europe.
Just beside the river Arno, this is a type of a hotel that still preserve the old style and furniture. Here, one will find good and worm atmosphere and great, very hospitable people - one will feel like home. 😊 Since the very fist day, one will feel very, very welcoming. So, if you like cosy and friendly atmosphere, I wholeheartedly recommend you to skip all those luxury hotels and come here. 😊
The hotel is situated in the historic centre , such a perfect location . Our room faced the river was a lovely view . Good selection at Breakfast . Very helpful and nice management recommended two good restaurants ,we ate at both restaurants andthey were very good . The rooms were cleaned every day had a lovely stay .
Very personable service and warm accommodations. Manuel and Barbara were TOPS in our books. The breakfast accompanied by the Latin music in the morning made our hearts happy. Best yogurt and healthy options We have encountered of all the hotels we stayed in Italy. Lots of ambiance and care from the owners. We would definitely stay there again upon our return to Firenze.
Easily accessible by car, staff was ok, rooms fairly large and clean. Breakfast was ok-ish, but nothing exceptional I would say. Coffee quality way below what one could expect in Italy. We reserved, quoting, "room with patio access", but as it turned out, there is no patio access from the rooms and additionally, its closed because of winter. Rooms were rather old and tired, especially equipment like a heater, switches, etc. Heating was not really working and it was quite cold in the room. Big gap around and under the bathroom door.
Very pleasant hotel. Don't expect anything fancy, but expect: a big, room with comfortable bed, nice bathroom, breakfast with products of good quality and great cakes (obviously home-made, some still warm in the morning). Bedclothes, towels - clean and frequently changed. Tea-making facilities. Good wifi. Good air-conditioning. Great location, five minutes walk to Santa Croce and numerous bars, pubs and restaurants. The hotel is run by a very nice elderly couple, really eager to help you enjoy your stay in their hotel and in Florence to the full. If you're looking for a hotel offering pleasant, homely atmosphere - "Privilege" is for you.
