From the first greeting by charming Lorenzo to an efficient check out on the last day, Hotel Rapallo was a delight. It's an easy, flat walk of about 1km from Santa Maria Novella train station, past a little park and there it is on the left. My room was huge - with large double windows looking over the street (no street noise) and a French-doored terrace. So European. Wooden floors, lovely luxe bedlinen, large towels, robe and slippers completed the indulgence. There was cold water in the fridge and a complimentary bottle of Chianti - so classy. And there was a bathtub! By far the best accommodation for this price I've ever encountered. Regina on the front desk gave me some restaurant tips that proved outstanding. There are plenty of little bars around the area for another espresso (after the lovely breakfast) and the Mercato Centrale is a five minute walk. Well worth a visit. The Duomo is only ten minutes walk and from there you can explore all the wonders of the centre of Florence. Don't even bother looking at another hotel - you will be so impressed with Hotel Rapallo it will become a new benchmark for affordable luxury. Mille grazie Lorenzo and team!

Hotel Rapallo truly deserves a 4th star. We felt welcome from arrival to departure and were greeted very friendly every day by every staff member. Reception attendance is exceptionally friendly, helpful and very attentive to customer needs and expectations. Our room (307) was a good size with a very comfortable bed. If needed, air-conditioning is very silent an easy to control (electronic panel). The bathroom (with a window!) was also very nice and very comfortable with a big bathtub/shower and all necessary supplies (even a toothbrush and toothpaste for those like me who forgot it at home). The room was very quiet as no street noise could be heard. The room window was with a view on an internal court and had external blinds (italien style), mosquito net and blackout curtains allowing everyone to find satisfaction. The breakfast come with a good selection of pastries, fresh fruits, eggs, breads etc. and a fresh espresso or cappuccino to your tasting. Service is fast and very efficient. We will certainly book Hotel Rapallo again the next time we visit Florence. Thanks again to Lorenzo and the entire staff for making our stay so enjoyable and keep up the good work!

we found this beautiful small hotel from staff to rooms was excellent, we have been many places but this hotel was prefect in every way. The staff are outstanding, I would highly recommend this hotel five stars.

Location & Accessibility: We stayed here in August and chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews. Its located 1-1.5kms from the station and you need to walk past a busy market area to get to the hotel. We walked with our luggages when we arrived, but realised it was wiser to book a cab when we headed out. I would nevertheless say it is well placed in terms of location. Service Flawless; they have the friendliest staff I have met in all my hotel stays in Italy. As for breakfast, we had one lady attending to the entire setup - but she did it with such charm and smile, that you felt most welcome. Room Among the few hotels that give free bottled water. That's a luxury when I look back at my total spend on drinking water during the trip :D The rooms are compact but very classy looking. Beds were comfortable and maintenance was flawless. To add: the metal railings in the staircase had a shining look, very impressed. Definitely recommend this as your preferred place of stay in Florence.

Our third European city on our trip was Florence and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rapallo. Friendly and knowledgable staff received us and without hesitation suggested the most popular sights and useful tips. Awesome breakfast and classy rooms deserves and follow up stay during our next visit.

We loved our stay at Rapallo. One of the highlights of our Italian holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost generosity by Lorenzo and his staff. After a very early morning start, it was a joy to arrive at such a friendly and hospitable hotel. Our party of four were all impressed with everything about the hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet and spacious, and everywhere very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was abundant, and the afternoon buffet very welcome to come back to after a trek around the city. We were given lots of helpful advice about where to visit and how to get there, making our first visit to Florence unforgettable. We will most certainly return, and hope there will be a room available at Rapallo when we do! Thank you so much.

From the moment we arrive our party was made to feel special, the owners and staff could of done no more to make our stay better. The rooms are very clean, the hotel is kept immaculate. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of choices and the afternoon tea after a long day sightseeing is very pleasant. I would recommend the Hotel Rapallo to any guest looking for a quality hotel in a nice location.

Booked this boutique hotel in Florence mostly as a result of its TA reviews and we were not disappointed. In a perfect location for sightseeing being 15 mins walk to the historic centre. Our room was upgraded following an email to the hotel informing them we were celebrating a special event which was really lovely. The hotel is exceptionally clean and very welcoming....all the staff were really lovely. Beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet at night resulting in a very good sleep. Breakfast buffet was good and enough to set you up for a long day sightseeing. The afternoon tea was a really lovely addition and very welcome when you got back to the hotel after all the walking! We would not hesitate to recommend this great little find in Florence and when we return there this is definitely the spot we will be coming back to.

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel and we enjoyed it as much as the first trip. The staff are very friendly and very obliging. The little personal touches make this a very special hotel, eg, the hospitality bar providing tea/coffee and cake after a long days sightseeing is very much appreciated, together with the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel and the perfect location you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay.

Before our trip I emailed the hotel to ask if we could have a balcony, they obliged. It's a small, clean hotel. It smells lovely too. The staff are very helpful and friendly without being in your face. There is a good variety at the breakfast buffet and complimentary afternoon tea which is a nice touch. I enjoyed our stay, I would recommend the hotel.
