From the beautiful and elegant contemporary decor of the hotel to the exceedingly polite, yet never aloof, staff, Hotel Rapallo surprises and delights its guests at every turn. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. and they, and all common areas are kept impeccably clean at all times. The staff is very warm and polite, and at your service with any and all requests. The breakfast buffet is amazing with offerings ranging from warm baked goods to fruits and bacon and eggs and, again, excellent service. The location the hotel is perfect; walking distance from the train station, yet at some distance from the busiest and most touristy areas. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful boutique hotel and would like to once again thank the staff for helping us enjoy our time in Florence as much as we did. We would most definitely stay at hotel Rapallo again. Grazie mille!
My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights in August 2017. Friendly staff in a great location, with cute rooms and reasonably priced. The afternoon tea offered by the hotel is also a nice touch. I would definitely return the next time I am in Florence.
We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2017. Personally we could not fault the place. It is beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean. Just around the corner from the markets and easy walk into the city and train station. The breakfast was fantastic and the afternoon tea a lovely touch. The staff are amazing. I would definitely stay here again.
We had the best time at this hotel. It is beautifully renovated, 10 minute walk to the heart of Florence and the staff could not be more accomodating. We dealt personally with Regina who helped us with everything we needed, she was absolutely fantastic and I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We will definitely be back!! Thanks for making our stay so unforgettable. Katie and Ben xx
Although we did take a wrong turn on our walk from the station, this hotel is quite easy to find and around a 15 minute walk. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the train station and the fact that all the must see/do things were also within walking distance - there are also a number of restaurants and bars close by - ideal location really. The hotel itself is very nice with a beautiful little lounge on the left-hand side of the reception and a great bar/breakfast/afternoon tea area to the right-hand side. All the staff, including the owner are very friendly. During our stay (June) the hotel was pretty busy as our stay coincided with Fashion Week for Men, however the owner and other reception staff always found time for a few words when we were spending time relaxing in the lounge area. Our room was a corner one with windows to the side and front and was very comfortable. The only downside to the whole experience was the shower. It was placed over the bath which is not unusual in some hotels but this particular bath was extremely narrow and the sides high making it very awkward to manoeuvre around the glass screen whether using the shower or taking a bath. I know some people insist on a bath but I believe as far as this particular bathroom was concerned a shower only would have worked much better. Other than that the experience was very positive and if in Florence in future would stay here again - this time selecting a room with a shower only.
I booked this hotel for my Girlfriends 30th birthday and booked 6 months in advanced. From the moment I booked the hotel the management team were amazing in regards to helping me plan beautiful hotels and suggestions of places to go. I would highly recommend room 203 which has a double balcony. I asked for something special and arranged for champagne and flowers to be waiting in the room, Regina Musabelliu (reception manager) was amazing and really sorted us out. I also ordered a birthday cake via the hotel too. The hotel is very nice and in a great location and everything is walking distance (train station, nice restaurants and bars along with the river, museums and cathedrals). The condition is excellent with everything always super clean and fresh. In the rooms they leave you everything from shampoo, tooth brushes and even makeup remover wipes and cotton buds, it's all about the little touches. Breakfast was very nice and Claudia the waitress was so friendly and couldn't do enough for you, so happy and polite. Claudia even brought up my girlfriends birthday cake to the room and was singing, absolutely outstanding, this lady is a true credit to the hotel. If your looking for a romantic break this hotel is for you and they will take care of everything for you, Regina Certainly knows all the hotspots and the whole hotel team really make this a trip worthwhile. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you all soon, we will defiantly return. Kind regards Dean Ward
Hotel Rapallo exceeded all expectations. The hotel is stunning outside and in, located within a 10 minute walk from the main attractions of Florence and the train station. We were greeted with a glass of ice water and very friendly service from Lorenzo, who also very kindly provided my new wife and I with a bottle of prosecco courtesy of the hotel as it was our honeymoon. Breakfast had lots of choice, again staff couldn't do enough for you, they were extremely pleasant and helpful during the whole trip. Helping us by printing off our tickets for the opera etc... Highly recommend staying in this top notch hotel, superb.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Florence. Its clean, refurbished in 2012 and has everything you need. Lift is a little small, but carries 4 people and bags no problem. If you want to park, then the hotel will park the car for you at a cost of 25e per night.
We had 2 rooms for 3 nights at the Rapallo. It was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. I would suggest asking for a room with a walk in shower. One of our rooms had a tub and it was kind of a challenge to get in and out of - especially for children (had an 8 year old with us). The breakfast was wonderful! The hotel has complimentary bottled water - if you run on in the fridge - just ask in the bar. It was easy to walk to almost anywhere in the city we wanted to go and we walked with our luggage to and from the train station to the hotel. The sidewalks are kind of bumpy. I would stay there again.
My partner and I spent just one night in Florence on our holidays and decided to stay at the Hotel Rapallo. Our train got into Florence a bit early and we decided to ask if they wouldn't mind holding our bags at the Hotel until check in time but instead they were so kind and gracious that they let us check in early no problems at all. All staff were kind and gracious to us. The room was clean and fresh and the Wi-Fi was good. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was also delicious. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great hotel that's not in the city center but is well within walking distance to everything you could want. Thank you again!
