I loved the entire stay and cleanest place that I’ve been.

It is a very old building. It was very close to everything and the staff was great

The property itself is aging. They are doing some renovations. I did not like that they initially put us in a corner room that smelled like paint. I had to request to be moved. They should not offer that room if it is not suitable to stay in. The second room was good. Bathroom and room overall was renovated. The bidet in the bathroom was positioned oddly and made it difficult to get in and out of the shower. The location was good as we needed to go back and forth from the train/bus station everyday. I will likely look for other places to stay in the future if I return to Florence.

I don't write too many reviews, but I wanted to take the time for this one because this hotel is absolutely fantastic: a welcome discovery during a recent December trip! Unprepossessing from the outside, inside it is well-appointed and luxurious, including a bar, a cozy sitting room, a sculpture garden, and even a courtyard hot tub! They offer free access to an excellent health club a block away (Florence Fitness) and the restaurant (at which I had the best gnocchi I've ever tasted) has a Michelin 3-fork recommendation. The breakfast is tasty and well-presented, the staff are super helpful, and they even let you choose your checkout time (I.e. for a small fee you can stay till 3pm or 5pm, instead of checking out at noon). If you visit around Christmas time you will also find the stunning display of intricate, animated, miniature advent scenes curated by two of the staff members. It must take them weeks of work! The rooms are also great - comfortable, clean, with beautiful bathroom (I was in a "comfort double" which had a good courtyard view). This place is the very definition of a hidden gem!

Never had a single problem. room was big enough for 2 or even 3 person. will stay again if ever we come back to florence

Close to train station and walking distant to all the site seeing locations. Loved the breakfast too!

This is a wonderful hotel to experience Florence. The location to the train station, (which was my reason for booking) is good. I enjoyed the hot tub although could not get the water jets to work. The courtyard is very nice. Our room was near an elevator which made it noisy, but was near the hot tub and we could slip in without dressing up. (The changing rooms had a stale odor no towels available). I asked for extra towels for the hot tub, but they weren't there upon our return. I asked for the towel warmer to be turned on, but that did not happen. Breakfast was excellent. The common rooms are wonderful and very interesting as is the whole hotel. A tour group was booked there at the time, but we never saw them. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a wonderful, and convenient short stay in Florence.

I really loved this hotel in Florence. I would rate it above average. From the moment I walked into this hotel I was impressed with the super fast service provided and the features of the room. The room had been upgraded with a new bed, a rain shower and very beautiful light features in the bathroom and bedroom. The bed was super comfortable enough to make me want to come back from sightseeing and takes naps in the afternoon. The room smelled very fresh and all the furnishings were new and very modern looking. I was very happy with the free buffet breakfast and the free water and apples that the hotel provided to all guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again if I am in Florence every again!

One of the men at the front desk was off putting. During check in he was distracted and answering phone and helping others. There where other people working with him. Wait staff were attentive and pleasant. Overall good experience.

Cool little spot near the train station and close to the action. Neat bar and some quant sitting rooms tucked in the back. Rooms are small but this is Europe after all. Staff was great...very accommodating. I'll stay here if I go back and you should too. Reasonably priced too.

I chose this hotel because it was very close (about 2.5 blocks) from the Santa Maria Novella train station, offered a free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. It was also only about a 15 min. walk to the Duomo and just a bit farther to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Many restaurants nearby. Room and bath were a good size for European standards and very clean. In the evening, Wi-Fi was not always available. Otherwise, pretty good.

Florence is small enough to get around on foot, very European, and charming. The people we met were lovely, we had fun shopping and talKing with the vendors. You can get around without speaking Italian. The Duomo and the bell tower, the walk along the Arno are beautiful. The David is breathtaking. Took a side trip by bus (station is around the corner from the hotel) to San Giamignano, which was amazing. Lots of laughs, much beauty, some adventure. Watch out for the scammers; where there are tourists, there are predators.

We visited Florence in May. Our experience was very good. I would stay here again.

We had stayed at this hotel before, and made a special effort to book there again, but this time we were not as happy. Our first room was small and lacked even enough chairs. We moved to a larger room, but there the bed was small. You had to ask for everything, including an electric kettle, slippers and such. We were quite disappointed.

The staff was courteous and always most helpful, the hotel was clean, nicely decorated, with a great restaurant. Each day a perfect breakfast was available as part of the amenities, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. You could buy a card to hook to the wifi. Unlike info we saw they do not have a "media center" or a shuttle from the airport. They will print out a document for you if you e-mail it to them.

The hotel was great. There are so many beautiful sitting areas to relax in on the first floor. The restaurant was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner there. There were many options and they offerred to make menu selection adjustments on the price fix menu. The room itself was large; the bed was comfortable enough and it was the largest bathroom we had in Europe. Only complaint was the stall in the bathroom itself was small and could have benefited with a shelf and grab bar. My husband and I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. Also note it is only a 5 min walk or less from the train station.

Rooms were just average but location was great. Short walk to the main train station.

The staff was English speaking, cordial, and very helpful. The included breakfast had variety and was very good. The room was average in size, but clean and comfortable. The hotel has a good location within a short walk of the train station, restaurants, shopping, and museums.

The hotel is fine for the price. I wish the beds were more comfortable

great hotel, great location nice interiors and well maintained hotel. staff at reception are good but they can be more courteous and friendly
