I have stayed here many times and have had flawless service. This stay was even better at Christmas. We were welcomed back by the superb staff and we had our usual Butler with a wonderful surprise of a decorated Christmas Tree and bottle of Prosecco. It was a delight! The stay in the beautiful luxury St. Regis hotel and Christmas Brunch was incredible. Course after course in the Michelin star restaurant could not have been better. Our guests, that live in Florence, raved about the cuisine and the impressive Wintergarden. The entire stay from start to finish could not have been more special in our home away from home. Thank you to the GM, Guest experience staff and each and every member of the St. Regis.
I will simply copy and paste an email that I felt compelled to write to the staff at the St. Regis Florence upon returning from our trip. Dear Team at St. Regis Florence, It has been a week since my husband and I returned home from a 4-night stay over New Years’ Eve with you, and the afterglow has still not faded. Staying in your establishment has been one of the most memorable, comfortable, luxurious and wonderful hotel experiences we have ever had in our decades of luxury travel. Every detail was forethought, our every need and desire was anticipated. From the moment we walked into the grand entry hall, to Marta’s professional and warm check-in service, to the gentlemen at the concierge desk day and night, restaurant waitstaff, bar staffs, housekeeping, and spa staff, with every single person we interacted with, even if just for a smile and “buonasera,” we felt welcomed and cared for. In fact, the feeling started before we even arrived, thanks to the concierge service’s attentive and responsive advice and help to every enquiry I had about Florence, restaurant reservations, and check-out requests. It is really remarkable to see an establishment where every person working clearly feels joy and pride in going to work. Our stay was worth every single centime. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being the biggest part in starting our 2018 off right (the other part of it being the marvelous city of Firenze itself, of course). I do not envy the other hotels we are destined to stay in, who we will forever compare to you. We cannot wait to stay with you again. Happy new year and bravo, Lisa
I don't know what took so long to write this review, but this place is amazing. Classic architecture and rooms. Staff is incredible, from front desk, to housekeeping, to doormen, to dining room staff. The bar is huge and sabre seervice is always fun. The location on the river is great, and Florence is such a great walking city, that it is easy to get anywhere, but they'll get you a taxi in seconds, if needed. Thie style is that of a past era, and those looking for a modern, sleek hotel might be happier elsewhere, but all the modern amenities are there.
One of our favourite hotels. The hotel runs effortlessly. Rooms, cleanliness, housekeeping, concierge, doormen (Aldo!) are fantastic. Location is good if driving during your stay. Will keep returning.
We have been traveling to Italy for the last 18 years. I have to say this hotel has the most amazing service. If you ask for the connecting family rooms you will not be disappointed. I am very picky about looks and size of the hotel rooms; I have to say I give this hotel 5 stars and would highly recommend it to all my friends.
I been there for my special occasion. The hotel was with the story in colonial building. An old style with artwork it's very beautiful, clean and luxury. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very good service.
We had a perfect stay at the St. Regis in Florence. Beautiful room with just enough space and a nice view of the Arno. The bar/ restaurant area is luxe, tasteful & comfortable. But the highlight of the stay was the private wine with Edoardo. Book a tasting with him if you can. He selected 5 excellent wines based on our preferences and the chef created dishes to go along with it. Of course, we ate a lot of great wine and food in Florence and Italy overall but the personalization and quality of the wine and food at this tasting was unmatched. Edoardo was also a delightful person to spend a few hours drinking wine and chatting with! It was a real treat of an experience and completely worth it. Highest recommendation.
Hands down one of the top three hotels I have ever stayed at. Absolutely extraordinary in every way. As beautiful as the hotel is it’s best asset is the staff. I cannot say enough about this place. Thank you for making my time in Florence memorable.
3. time traveling to Florence in December. Been staying at The Westin but always having dinner at St Regis. This time I wanted to also stay at St. Regis. One word: PERFECT. Everything was 100%. Amazing property and high scale service. We tried room service, gym, breakfast, the Winter Garden Bar and tasting menus at the Restaurant Winter Garden by Caino. We loved it all. Highly recommended.
I had been planning on staying at the Savoy as I saw one or two complaining about the St Regis but what a mistake that was! I checked out the lousy Savoy after the 1st night and spend the 2nd at the St Regis. My only regret I didn't stay at the St Regis both nights. The St Regis were amazing they allowed me check in especially early with limited notice so it wouldn’t disrupt my day of meetings, simply brilliant. What I liked about this 5 star hotel: • Sheer customer service- the mid to senior management here are very good I can tell as you can see from how the small things are managed • I checked and back out within 20 mins at 9.30am, brilliant it saved my stay • What a wow factor in the entrance and lobby you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel • Lovely bar again another wow factor • Outside area under- utilised but again nice to have good seating looking over the river • Room was excellent and in excellent condition couldn’t fault it • The hotel is a 5-8 min walk from centre but that has a massive advantage you are out of the noise and crowds • Breakfast was very good, choice and service in a lovely environment • Security was good • Management I spoke to one of the supervisors and she had been there 20 years which is a very good sign and she sorted out something for me which is great when you get supervisors like that you care about their property and customers so well. I’m not sure when I need to be Florence next but there is only one place I would stay and you’ve got any sense you will too, particularly if you want a 5 star hotel and that's the St Regis.
