We just spent a week at this amazing hotel and cannot say enough about it! A true gem in a magical city. The hotel was absolutely stunning, the service was outstanding and the room was one of the most beautiful and immaculate rooms we have ever stayed in. We have stayed in 5 star hotels throughout the world and Hotel Lungarno has now become a favorite. We would highly recommend this property and will certainly be back again.
Our last trip to Florence we stayed in The Portrait Hotel on the north bank of the Arno where we had the most marvellous of stays. This time we opted for the sister hotel on the south bank and what a great choice it has turned out to be. We are on the 6th floor with a terrace that looks out over the Arno and the rooftops of Florence to the Duomo and its Campenile, the tower of the Palazzo Vechio, the Ponte Vechio and the hills and mountains in the distance. Truly the most spectacular view of Florence. When E M Forster wrote A Room With a View this must have been it. The people here are wonderful. Julia perfectly arranged our booking and held just the right room that we had requested. Hilaria professionally and personally checked us in and introduced us to the hotel and Roberto has taken care of us superbly during our stay. All of the staff have been professional, warm and helpful. We enjoyed this hotel so much we have extended our stay. After all Florence is a beautiful city to relax and enjoy strolling its picturesque streets and soaking up its medieval atmosphere.
It has been many years since we stayed at this hotel to have a very close view of the Ponte Vecchio and avoid the street noise from across the Arno River. However now the hotel has been upgraded to a first class facility by any standard. The staff was amazingly friendly, knowledgeable, helpful;, and professional. The suite was also fabulous. Well though out and beautiful. An excellent spot which is just 200 meters or less from the ancient bridge and the heart of the old town.
If you looking for an outstanding hotel, Lugarno is the hotel. All you need to have a unique experience (staff, room, restaurant, breakfast, bar...) in one place, and if you add the most beautiful view of firenze...wow. Impeccable.
Lungarno Collection of Hotels is Luxury at its finest!!! Outstanding attention to detail from check-in to check-out! They've thought of everything! The most amazing views of the city! Pack your bags and prepare your senses to be taken to new heights! Don't miss the Tibetan Sound Massage!
I have now stayed at Hotel Lungarno during three separate trips to Florence and each time I am greeted by a glass of tea or champagne in a beautiful reception area by an incredibly helpful, friendly and service-oriented staff. The rooms are lovely and the view from the beautiful lounge is, simply, amazing. This is a luxury hotel with exceptional service and an unwavering attention to detail.
This is a beautiful hotel with a tasteful entrance to the lobby and common areas as well appointed rooms. I visited during Christmas and it could not have been more lovely. Every detail was well thought out and the rooms were luxurious. The lobby lounge was a great place to view the Arno and the restaurant was wonderful. It has my highest rating. It has a perfect location but choose room at a higher cost that overlook the river as they are more quiet and the view is amazing.
Hotel Lungarno is located right next to Ponte Vecchio and walking distance to Uffizi Museum. Hotel is warm and beautiful like a visiting someone’s nice house rather than large hotels. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. My room had a Arno river view. I loved everything about this hotel! As a trip advisor, I must mention this, my room 433 is a very nice room until 4-6am start hearing some mechanical noise. I am not sure it was a water system or something else?! If you are deep sleeper, should not be a problem but if you are sensitive with noise I would advise not to take this room. Many reviews complain about breakfast being too slow or staffs are not efficient. I didn’t find any of those. Could be the time I visited (December) in low season. We didn’t have to wait and staffs are very helpful. We enjoyed freshly cooked eggs.
We recently returned from a week at the Hotel Lungarno, where we have stayed consistently for 20 years. The hotel has recently undergone a major renovation that has preserved the beauty of the spaces that we have come to love, while upgrading both room amenities and technologies. But the outstanding service still remains the main draw for this hotel, which is on a par with the best five star hotels anywhere in the world!
Once again we had a perfect pre-Christmas stay at this chic boutique hotel by the Ferragamo family just a few steps from Ponte Vecchio . We celebrated a birthday there and really enjoyed the complimentary upgrade with Arno river view. No matter if you like a good read in the lobby or are an enthusiastic art lover or foodie - everything is in immediate reach. Compared to last year the quality of service has further improved! Overall friendly staff especially at the front desk ( Grazie giulia) or the doormen make your stay at the hotel lungarno a real pleasure. We will be back very soon! Go see it yourself.
