Absolutely stunning room, huge and elegantly decorated. The property sits on the Duomo plaza, although my room looked out onto the side street. Breakfast was excellent, with coffee and tea available throughout the day. Well worth the price, and I highly recommend.
Great location. Great room. Great staff. Highly recommend
Excellent location. Staff was beyond helpful with recommendations for restaurants. Rooms were palatial.
Nice hotel, but if you have allergies stay away from it. The antique drapes, book shelves, chairs, comforter were driving my allergies nuts. Smells like antiques, so if you like that this is the place for you.
We did not find the hotel staff upon arrival or departure to be warm and welcoming, which we would expect for a nearly $400 hotel room. Because there is no AC available this time of the year, we asked about any mosquitoes before we opened the windows in 70-degree weather, and was told there would not be. Our child was subsequently bitten 5 times on her forehead by what we later learned are tiger mosquitoes, which caused her forehead to blow up. All in all, would opt for another hotel in Florence next time.
Everything about this hotel was far beyond my expectations. However, the icing on the cake was when we had relatives from a nearby town come to meet us at the hotel, we were able to invite them in and entertain them in the sitting room which is very homey and comfortable and has a set up of china and coffee/tea. Our guests were very impressed and we were so grateful that it was available to us. Our guest room was so large that we later had them in our room to admire the beautiful paintings on the walls and sit and chat for a while.

Dear Guest, We thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay with us in terms of temperature. We have to follow and respect regulations for environment safety and energy saving that don't allow us to turn on the air conditioning system until a certain date. In May the average temperature at nights were 55F and the most part of our guests still needed the heating. We are sorry about mosquitos and what happened to your daughter, we could have provided an anti-mosquito equipement if we knew, and we can assure that all our guests are absolutely free to open/close windows any time during their stay. Our only goal is to make any stay great, and we are deeply sorry if we didn't make it with you. Our staff always try his best to be delicately friendly in order not to be invadent, but at the same time always willing to help in case of need and we are sorry if we gave you a different impression someway. We hope to have another chance in the future, so that you can change your mind. Thank you for the attention. Kind regards, Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo
