I booked 1 night in this hotel for 3 reasons. It was close to where our friends were going to meet us the next day. It had airconditioning and it looked clean in te photos. It was close and the bed was clean. The room had an AC unit but it didn't cool the room down more than about 3 degrees on a 96 (36C) degree day. It was very difficult to sleep. The hotel is very old. The wall paper in the room was peeling off the floor boards in spots. The floor had 2 dents that almost made my wife trips twice. The shower looked to have mold in the grout and the drain was slow but the shower did have plenty of pressure. There are only 2 plugs in the room and neither are by the bed so plugging the phone in while sleeping meant my alarm was across the room. No big deal of course but definitely no snooze function (ha ha). The staff are nice. At check in my wife and I were greeted in a friendly manner and everything went smoothly. I went down later to ask for help with the air conditioning and the front desk person came up to help. He said it was as good as it gets. He had another room that we could switch into but all of the AC units are the same so we weren't going to notice anything cooler. Breakfast the next morning was convenient and with a decent variety of pastry, yoghurt and cold cuts. (Typical breakfast food in Italy). Food were restocked when they went low too whih is good. It is nice to have this option rather than hunting for a restaurant when you have a schedule to keep.
very dirty, nasty infact. No wifi in the rooms. Terrible breakfast,
The hotel is centrally located but needs to be renovated.
The picture is deceiving, but you get what you pay for! I'm a young 54 traveling with my 26 yr. old daughter. The location was excellent from train station to hotel. We were walking with luggage. The location was also excellent for central square and museums. We saw David, the Dome, cathedral, shopping. The hotel was very creepy. Bathroom okay, good running water and Toilet (small). Bedroom walls with holes and peeling wallpaper, felt like might catch something, but didn't. lol Only there for two quick days, and very little money, so it served it's purpose. The desk clerks nice, just direct. The cleaning lady very nice, that made me feel better. There are lots of hotels all around the same area, so I would invest a little more money for better accommodations...my bad! lol I stopped mentally itching about a day later. Below survey ask for dinning options...did they have a dinning (not interested)?
