There is nothing wrong with this hotel - It is clean, modern, relatively inexpensive and efficient and in another setting it would be a good place to stay. The problem is that Florence is not another setting - it is without doubt one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world and you simply do not get that special atmosphere when staying in this hotel. If you are looking to visit this wonderful city, look for a hotel that provides some of the history, character and beauty of the place. It will enhance your visit more.
Great location and value for money, short walk from duomo, clean place, but staff are fantastic - very friendly, gave good advice on eating out and returned our valuables we had lost in the room. Would recommend
In a great spot not too far from all the sights and has a bus stop just over the road for lots of local bus services and only a short walk to pick up the City sightseeing tour bus. Breakfast was easy with a nice selection which should appeal to most people's requirements. Staff were friendly and very helpful with our enquiries about local facilities/sights . provided a map and lots of useful info. My only critisism would be the bedroom furnishings were a little tired and the room was a little cramped. The "bathroom" was very small ..... in fact if I hadn't lost a few pounds prior to going I may have struggled to get in and out of the shower as the door barely opened 😅!!
We liked this hotel - walking distance to David, Mercato Centrale, the Uffuzi, and the train station (a bit complicated upon arrival - taxi was about €17, but no problem walking back to the train station for our return). Nice breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was only a few minutes walk to all the main attractions in Florence. The hotel is modern and well maintained. Pleasant rooms that ever quite and roomy enough. Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. Wifi was free and fast. I would stay here again.
We stayed here for five nights whilst visiting Florence. The hotel was easy to find using google app & was a 20minute walk from the station. The hotels location was excellent only a 5-10 minute walk to city centre & attractions. The room was quite large & to a good standard but as other reviewers have stated the bed & pillows let the room down & because of this we did not enjoy a comfortable nights sleep during our stay. The breakfasts were extremely good & most enjoyable. Plenty of choice with breakfast buffet could not fault it at all Friendly staff in restaurant & manning front desk. We enjoyed our stay & would've rated the hotel higher had it not been for the most uncomfortable beds/pillows we have ever encountered
Great hotel ! Located near city center (10-15 minutes walk from all major attractions) Staff is very friendly and English speaking. Nice rooms. Best part of the hotel is PIetro!! He will definitely take care of you... Whether you want to stay in and eat at the hotel or if you want to step out and try the local restaurants Pietro will either cook you up a delicious meal or suggest restaurants that will meet your needs. Thanks again for the wonderful service, will definitely return!
The room was great, a nice bed with a good shower etc and clean. The hotel is a short walk to the centre of town and the key attractions. The breakfast was good. The key problem: it was so so hot!! The thermostat in the room didn't do anything and when we asked the staff at the front desk what could be done, they sad that the thermostat wasn't meant to do anything, that the temperature was centrally controlled and that the heating was off (hot air was still blowing into the room) it was too early in the season for the air-conditioning. We were suggested to keep our window open to allow a breeze into the room. This unfortunately let in a lot of mosquitos so we woke up covered in bites.
The best part about this hotel is the parking space available, the small distance to the non-driving restricted part of the city and the breakfast (which was quite alright, with relatively vast range of options). The room was small, the bathroom was small. They didn't give us complementary water in the room. The lobby was rather spacious and interesting but we didn't spend too much time there. You do have to walk quite a bit to get to the Duomo, but the streets are filled with small restaurants/ cafe that it didn't feel long (except in the evening when you're already beaten and tired). We rented a car since we were going to the countryside Tuscany, so availability of parking space is crucial. Overall, we might not come back to this hotel, and try other one. But it was a relatively comfortable stay.
The location of the hotel is near-perfect. 10 minutes walk from the Duomo and some amazing restaurants and the staff are brilliant. However, the hotel left me underwhelmed. The bed (like others have mentioned) were incredibly uncomfortable, the shower was tiny, the breakfast was unremarkable and the lack of care by cleaning staff was a shame. The bed was really hard and very squeaky. The shower was powerful but tiny and didn't have a lot of room to move around in. The breakfast was ok but not great, although the staff in the breakfast room and reception were brilliant. The room was not 'cared' for. The toiletries were thrown into the bathroom and the AC unit was covered in dust. Also, the cleaners would watch TV while working and leave the TV blasting all day so we would come back to a very loud Italian show! Not awful but I wouldn't recommend it, there are so many hotels why stay somewhere not lovely?
