This was my second stay at the Continentale in the past two years, the first for 5 nights and this trip for 4 nights, and I do not know why this hotel does not have a 5-star rating! First, the location cannot be beat as you walk right out the front door to the Ponte Vecchio and beautiful views of the Arno! Nothing is more than a 10 minute walk. My first visit we stayed in a Double room which was still very spacious, well-appointed with Ferragamo products and quiet with a large walk-in closet. Upon our arrival this trip we were given an upgrade to an Arno Deluxe, which was bright and spacious with one of the best views in Florence of the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno! I could not get enough of the view! The only issue with this room is that the Ponte Vecchio can be quite noisy well into the evening so this room is not for the light sleeper or the higher floors (we were on 2) may be better. The rooftop bar is the best in Florence (much better than Westin) with again an amazing view, particularly at sunset. It is very small, but hotel guests are given preference for reservations. The drinks are amazing and it has a very cool vibe. The service at the Continentale is definitely 5-star. For both visits all of my pre-visit requests were responded to and met. On both visits Sylvie was wonderful upon check-in and met every request I had with a smile and took a great deal of time to make sure we were happy with everything from fielding calls as I was on the waitlist for reservations to helping me buy train tickets. The staff's recommendations for restaurants were excellent both trips! One evening I had believed I had left my coat at a restaurant on the other side of the Arno. It was already late in the evening when I realized this and we were leaving the next day. Francesca B. not only called the restaurant to discover that my coat was still there and made arrangements to have it taxied over to the hotel very late in the evening and held it for me until the morning at the front desk. My only complaint is that in the lobbies of the hotel there is a bit of an odd smell, which needs to be addressed and can easily be done with all the wonderful perfume in Florence. But, notwithstanding, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Florence!

Continentale Hotel is perfectly located, easy walk tall shops, cafes & restuarants plus close to the Duomo The staff are extremely helpful lead by Christina & Roberto as they have the best list of places to eat as we ate at 3 all very good, especially if you have dietary issues as they all catered for ours being gluten & lactose Cafe staff are great for breakfast especially Martha, very helpful and lots of fun Suggest a river view room The roof top bar on level 6 is a must to enjoy the sunset Room was good and comfortable Would recommend to any one

We could not have nicer things to say about the hotel Continentale in Florence! Firstly the location is perfect, right at the base of the ponte vecchio, we had a corner room on the third floor that overlooked the river - lovely! The room was clean and romantic with the canopy bed, and the ferragamo products in the bathroom was a luxurious touch! Service was exceptional, we arrived from the states close to 10 hours late from delays and the white iris spa was very understanding and did not charge us a cancellation. Our biggest regret is that we did not have enough time in our stay to go back! The reception was so helpful in all aspects - food recommendations, ordering us a taxi and even changing our dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant. The terreza rooftop bar is a little pricey (20 Eur for a cocktail) but the view is the best we saw in Florence. Overall wonderful place to stay, would come back without hesitation!

This hotel is very well located, overlooking the Ponte Vecchio bridge so you couldn't ask for more really. As you can imagine the city is extremely busy in that area (even in April) but as you enter the hotel you step out of the noise into a calm and peaceful environment. There is a terrific rooftop bar open to residents and non-residents alike, so it has quite a buzz on that floor (which we liked). Actually, we had room 601 - right next door to the bar! This suited us although there was some bleed through noise for an hour one night when we went to bed; I must stress this didn't bother us at all but if that's not your thing you might be better to request a room on a lower floor where I don't think you would hear a thing. The hotel feels quite unique with lots of interesting design features. Our bed was comfortable (not hard) and breakfast was very nice. The staff were ALL faultless. Overall an stylish, upmarket boutique hotel and we would have no hesitation in returning in the future.

the location is excellent 10 meter to bridge. excellent river views. The room is super romantic. Big room and bathroom. The equipment in the bathroom is selvatori firggamo. The stuff is friendly and very hospitality. I recommend this hotel to everyone visiting florence. Thy have 1st spa center in the world. Thy have restrooms .

The view from our room was spectacular. The room had a tiny balcony fom which we could enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. The room was located above the Ponte Vecchio which made our visit very special. I was a bit concerned about the noise at night but when the windows are closed it’s extremely silent.

Visited Florence as part of a special occasion and the staff made a huge effort to recognize us. View from upgraded room was phenomenal. We had a perfect view of the Ponte Vecchio, thank you!!! The hotel is super clean and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location is amazing. Even if you don’t stay here, you must visit the roof top patio for the best views in Florence!

Discreet modern hotel that is so well located. Genuinely amiable staff ... great service. The real secret here is the level of sophistication and quality. It's not "tape a l'oeil" as the French say. It's intrinsic. Anyway, it's perfectly located and very comfy.

The hotel is comfortable and the view is great (when you get the chance to have one). The location is perfect. The whole staff is willing to help and very nice. I loved my journey. The room was clean. We didn't get the chance to see the Terrasse, we will come back.

This hotel couldn't be in a better position. It overlooks the Ponte Vecchio, is a block from the Uffizi and a five minute walk to the Duomo. We had a large double aspect room which looked out on the river and the bridge. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, suggesting nearby places to eat and booking tables. The breakfasts were excellent. The only down side is that there is no indoor bar for coffee during the day or a cocktail before you go out in the evening. The rooftop bar, which has spectacular views, opened for the summer the night we were there but it really needs warm summer evenings to be at its best. However its a small complaint for an otherwise excellent hotel.
