This hotel was recommended by our travel agent and turned an otherwise ok visit to Florence (which was totally overrun) into a wonderful experience; the staff were very attentive throughout (recommending & booking a nice restaurant for dinner, being flexible about our using the amenties after we'd checked out), the quality of the rooms was excellent and very stylish, as was the rooftop bar (which offered good cocktails alongside the stunning views) and the "public" rooms of the hotel (i.e. a relaxation room, a lift turned out with chaise longue, etc). Breakfast was good, albeit Italian in style (i.e no sausages or cheese). Overall, a very clear recommendation.
We loved the Continentale. Our room was fabulous. White and wood. Sheer draped curtains around the bed, view of the ponte vecchio out our window, modern bathroom and cute quirky touches around the room. We had a great stay. Staff were lovely and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.
Very nice, modern hotel with great staff and service. Rooms are a bit small but very tasteful. Absulutely central location. Drop the rental car at the airport first. It doesn't help in Florence and you save the valet parking on top. Better have a reservation for the roof top bar: A clear must before taking off for dinner.
The location was very good and the Staff was great, especially Martha. Also the food and the views from upstairs were awesome. I would definitely recommend it to all Florence tourists. I enjoyed a lot my time in the city.
This is a great hotel in a great location. Right alongside the Ponte Veccio. Very helpful staff and quality rooms exceptional value would definitely stay again. Roof top bar great views and cool cocktails
We had a very short stay here, just overnight, but everything was great. The staff were very helpful arranging a taxi and recommending a restaurant for dinner. The room was small but very clean with comfortable and modern furnishings. The location is just around the corner from Ponte Vecchio and tourist central, but the hotel room itself was very quiet. No outside noise could be heard in the room. The rooftop bar is absolutely beautiful, great views and drinks. I would definitely recommend staying here when in Florence.
I booked this hotel for its location along River Arno at Ponte Vecchio; and a room with a view of the River ; and with Breakfast included . We had a welcoming greeting at the Reception , and were served with ice fruit-immersed water. We had an upgrade to a spacious corner unit . The decor and lighting were calming and modern Italian. The hotel is located in the intersection of an extremely crowded area of tourists and a less crowded upmarket area. It is very convenient yet private. Breakfast left me an impression of high quality coffee , yogurt and fresh fruits. The Rooftop Bar is a must-visit , not so much for the quality of cocktails , but for the relaxing atmosphere in the evening. The entire team of staff we met were friendly, proactive and professional . Already good value for money for the room we booked, the upgrade made our stay even more delightful. We found our experience very much in line with the positive reviews we read prior to our booking . We do not have any negative comments.
We have been to Florence many times, and this is our favorite hotel by far. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. Last visit we had a view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio! The rooftop bar is legendary. Given how busy it is, the service is friendly and the drinks properly made. A bit pricey, but the atmosphere and delicious nibbles make it a deal. We havent tried the spa yet, but looks promising. As for the location...perfect! You feel as though you are on the Ponte Vecchio, but are in fact removed from the mayhem. Great for sightseeing on both sides of the bridge.
A great little hotel with wonderful service and an amazing location, right next to the Ponte Vecchio. The rooftop bar has lovely cocktails and an amazing view. Try the watercolour class if you have a chance!
This small, "boutique" hotel was wonderful. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, professional and they were happy to help us with reservations, anwering questions etc. The rooms are great and the rooftop bar has fantastic views of the city. Drinks are pricey but they serve bar snacks along with the drinks and they don't rush you to leave. The spa was terrific; we had massages which were great The location is perfect; you can walk everywhere quite easily. I would definitely stay here again.
