We choose this hotel primarily due to its location to the train station, as we were arriving by train from Rome. A walk across the street and we were at the hotel, super handy! Was not far from the main area of Florence, just a short 5 min walk to the piazzas, Duomo and all the restaurants, etc. Modern style hotel. Our room (#392) was a decent size, comfy bed and comfortable temperatures (room has AC). There is a safe in the room, which is nice for your extra cash and passports. Bathroom shower is a bit odd, there is no door, partition, curtain, so we ended up soaking everything each morning (always had to remember to move the toilet paper - since it was right next to the shower). But other than that it was the only inconvenience. Rooms were cleaned promptly each day, and there were never any housekeeping issues. Free WiFi was included and there were no issues with connecting or using it. Hotel has 2 elevators, although usually only 1 was working. We didn't have a breakfast plan, so we ate outside of the hotel each morning. But there were lovely cafes well within walking distance. Desk staff was helpful, held our luggage as our room wasn't available until 2:00pm. This allowed us some time before checking in to tour a bit of Florence.
Stayed at this hotel with a tour group. It is under renovation. Our room was very nice. The shower is all tile with a glass wall. Nothing to put toiletries on but the floor, no grab bar (the shower floor gets very slick!!!), and when you finish showering the walls of entire bathroom are dripping.
This hotel would be top notch but it sufferers from a sewage smell from time to time. The breakfast was amazing and they really offered so much variety. The location is perfect for exploring downtown and the train station across the street makes the whole country accessible.
It is just left hand side of the Firenze SMN station and 1 min from the bus station. This saves you a lot of trouble upon arrival with luggages. The room is clean and spacious. It even provides cooking machine. The breakfast is abundant and offers a lot of greens and fresh fruit. Highly recommend.
First of all I have to say we had a good stay, and the hotel couldn't have been move convenient for what we wanted to do. It isn't the easiest place to find as it appears to share the building its in with another C Hotel group hotel. We flew in to Italy via Pisa and took the bus from Pisa Airport to the SMN railway station in Florence. The hotel is situated across the road immediately in from of the station, so a very short walk and we were there. We subsequently too the train and PisaMover back to Pisa Airport when we left, so again really convenient. Don't judge this hotel by its cover. The building is unassuming and the entrance (to the Style Hotel that is) even more so, but once inside it is bright, and modern. The room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet, and had a shower room, which suits us. Like most Italian hotels, the pillows are about 3 to 4 inches thick and offer no support, but that's Italy for you. If we hadn't been lazy I'm sure they would have provided additional pillows. One thing we did notice was that the linen is changed every day. Not the most environmentally friendly thing but after a long day walking around the city nothing beats crisp linen. So take me out and flog me! Breakfast was taken in a basement restaurant shared with the adjoining C Hotel hotel. Continental and American breakfast available 06:30 till 10:30. We thought it was pretty good and better than most I've had in Italy. The hotel is incredibly well located. Right behind it is the bus station from which we were able to take the bus for a day trip to Siena, and next to the entrance is a well stocked supermarket selling everything you might need including some rather nice wines. Most importantly, I guess, It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Duomo in the heart of Florence, so no need for buses, taxis, etc.. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating. We needed a wine bottle opener and some plates with knives and forks and all were delivered promptly. All I can say is don't be put off by the exterior. Inside it is nice, and is so convenient for transport links and getting to all the major sights of Florence.
Car parking advertised, didn't say cost. €50 for two nights for a small car. Was valet parking so unable to access if you wanted to explore further one day. City tax for two people two nights €18. Room advertised as double room with sofa bed. What it truly means is it's a double sofa bed, really poor for a not that cheap hotel! Breakfast average, pastries were good, breakfast and housekeeping staff were really friendly, otherwise staff were indifferent. Also all c hotels are linked, shared bar and breakfast room in other hotel which was a bit strange. Currently they are doing renovations so we were woken at 7:30am by work outside our door, was advertised in hotel but would have been nice if we had been pre-warned out of curtesy! Great location which was biggest plus to the hotel! 10 min walk to duomo! But wouldn't go back to this chain of hotels
A very pleasant stay. Beautiful rooms, newly renovated and although the hotel is centrally located, the rooms are quiet. Not great view, but that's not very important after a long day walking across the streets of Florence. The breakfast was really good, although the breakfast room itself was hard to find (it was in a different building due to renovation works in the hotel). The location was great as well. Right across the central train station and all "must see & do" within 20min. walking distance. The staff is very polite and willing to assist in any way. Highly recommended hotel!
This is one of the best hotel I've visited in all my trips in Europe. It is really close to almost everything. Transportation access is truly a short distance away, in fact just across the hotel. The room is complete with all the amenities you need. The only thing you may not like are the pillows. Highly recommended.
Perfect breakfast perfect price perfect customer service. The room is big and comfortable. Have kettle, the room facilities are good and perfect. Location is just opposite the smn. Very convenience place to stay
We went for only one night the service is a little bit slow, I guess because the front guy was trying to help everyone, I think that they need ore personal because only one is not enough we spend like 30 minutes waiting to do the check in.
