The staff was so kind during my stay. When my train got cancelled they allowed me to keep my luggage there while I explored until my next train. The rooftop has gorgeous views of the city!

10 -15 minute walk to main train station.

Beautiful view on the terrace, limited breakfast such as a croissants only. No swimming pool. Rooms just big enough for a double bed ensure shower room and double war.

Lovely and peaceful with great views.

Easy to get to the centre on a bus every 10 mins. Nice to get away from the crowds and sit on the roof terrace looking at the mountains.( ignore the railway line) loved it. Allesio and Matteo very friendly and helpful

Most helpful staff, great balcony.

We had a great time here. It was light, airy, and incredibly comfortable. The after hours check in system was so easy which was a relief because our train was 3 hours late and we didn't need to worry. The staff were so helpful and friendly which made everything easy. They even let us store our luggage all day after we checked out. The huge balcony is amazing to sit and watch the sunset. This is in the opposite direction from the station than the town centre but is still completely walkable to everything so it was great!

City break

We wanted a nice city break to Florence and this hotel was ideally located, approx. 10 minute walk from the train station and 15-20 minutes from the main sights. We also chose it for its rooftop terrace/outside space which was lovely to enjoy after pounding the tourist trail. The hotel were well organised and friendly and the arrangements for our late arrival were clear and accurate. The room was clean and comfortable but would definitely benefit from a top up of mosquito repellant!! and watch out for the step on entry!! Whilst there was a coffee machine in the hallway some coffee in the room would have been nice to fill the large mugs. Overall a pleasant stay.

We stayed here for two nights, room very basic and compact, beautiful rooftop terrace, only flaw is the room window didn't lock so had to keep valuables on person, 20min walk to the centre, neighbourhood not the greatest but ok, all in all you get what you pay for, staff not there so left to your own devices which is good

Fantastic service

Had a lovely stay, would definitely recommend!!! Not too far from the main centre of Florence with all of the main attractions within walking distance and only 15 minutes from the train station which was handy for me. The service at the hotel was brilliant, very friendly and helpful when we had any requests or questions. The hotel was in good condition and the room very comfortable with a TV and fridge, the room also opened out onto the hotels beautiful rooftop terrace which was a particular highlight - a beautiful place to have your breakfast!! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Bit of a walk into town but that was expected,we soon found our way around with the help of Matteo and the map !!! The terrace was lovely the sunsets from there were amazing, all in all lovely place to stay

Nice place to stay.

Staff are helpful and friendly, provided good advises and guide for exploring Florence. The location is close to train station, but bit far from city centre and located in the quiet suburb (feel a bit dangerous at night)

Not all that it's cracked up to be!

We found the location to the city center further than what was advertised. The room was clean, but on the small side. Bathroom was tiny. Matteo was helpful, which was the only positve thing about our stay, along with the roof top terrace. Breakfast was ridicuolous. It consisted of a pre-packaged croissant, juice, and 2 small slices of melba toast. I wouldn't call that breakfast! Coffee you had to get from the vending machine in the hallway. Would not stay there again.

Great place for the price and location

Matteo is a wonderful host, very helpful. The rooms are very clean. There is a nice relaxing rooftop patio as well. The location is just outside the historic center and a fairly short walk from the train station (15 mins, if you have a good map). We walk a lot and spend very little time in our hotel room when traveling, so for us this place was great. There is a laundromat not too far away, as well as some local (i.e., not tourist) places to eat. If you don't care to walk, this is not the place for you. Rooms are typical size for a European hotel (not large). Modest breakfast each morning. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Alla Dimora Altea

The hotel is very nice. The location is perfect, about 5-10 minutes walk to Santa Maria Novella train station. The room is very clean and the bathroom is good with body gel and shampoo, although a little bit small. But for us asian, it is not a problem. Mateo, the owner is very accommodating and will give you tips on how you can save on your tour. However, the hotel reception is only open during office hours, so if one is to check-in late, they have to inform Mateo in advance.

Highly recommended, well organised owners, helpful and sound advice on bus routes, good resturants,, take advantage of their offer to pre book Museum tickets what a time saver that is. We will go back again.

Hotel Alla Dimora Altea

The hotel is more of a bed and breakfast. Our host, Matteo was great. He showed us around, explained everything thoroughly and was very helpful. The nice thing about the property is it is located far enough from the tourist area that it does not infringe upon you, but only a 10 minute walk. It is not fancy, nor spartan, but nicely suits your needs.
