I have to start with the quality of service and attitude of ALL staff... and I mean ALL staff. This was quite possibly THE best service I have ever received in a hotel. I'm not kidding - friendliness, politeness, attentiveness, quality of service, maps, hiring cars, taxis, airport transfers, places of interest, returning a forgotten / left item, early check-in and the list goes on and on - absolutely outstanding! As for the hotel itself - located just across the road from the beach, short walk to village centre and pretty park filled with pine trees. We had a room on the upper floor of a separate block with great sea views and private balcony. (There are a variety of beachfront activities on the opposite side of the road so it is not an uninterrupted sea view...but still great though with lovely sunsets). The room and ensuite bathroom were ample in size, clean and well presented. Breakfast was continental style with a mixture of yoghurts, cheese, cold meats, boiled eggs, brioche (croissant), bread, fruit preserves and a large selection of cakes / pastries. We only ate once in the hotel restaurant but the food and service were excellent. Would I recommend it? - Absolutely yes. Would I be go back? - I am very much looking forward to it.

Before reading this review put yourself in a European mind set. Rooms are smaller, quirky, and rarely spotless. We've become spoiled in the US market and may be giving up some of the experience of travel in exchange. If I had millions of dollars (or Euros) or this family did I would certainly remodel. Rooms are in need of it, as was the safe which wouldn't let me back inside once I closed the door. All was resolved by any of the very attentive family members that run this hotel. And they are adorable. Kind, warm, attentive and very very Italian. If you don't know the language you may be unsure but that is part of the experience of travel. Lower your standards a bit (as a teen I was traveling with said upon arrival "this place looks sketchy") and relax into this beachside experience. The location is ideal...though no hotel I saw was actually beachFRONT as a road separates the beach from the accomodations. Beach FRONT is reserved for the Lidos (the Conchiglia has one, use it, their pizza is great) and the restaurants. Be prepared to dine after 8pm. Hop on one of the hotel's bikes and explore the quaint town and all its side streets, cafes and of course the bike path that follows the street.

We stayed one night. The rooms have been refurbished in modern style. Great bathroom. Clean comfortable bed. Balcony with view. The outside of the buildings need to be refurbished as it seems to look run down on first approach. Very hospitable staff and reasonable cost. Allow at least 30 minutes to get to airport by taxi.

A charming and comfortable family run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and owners, just so helpful. The room was a good size and there was a large balcony with sea views. We had a generous breakfast on each of our four mornings here and one dinner - which was good quality and reasonably priced. It's a bit different from the normal run of the mill hotel, both in it's architecture and layout. We loved it though. Trains into Rome leave from Maccarese station about 4km away. The hotel will take you there for free if you have no transport! Train is about 40 minutes to Rome Termini, but much less if you get off at St Peters.

Very friendly staff and perfect location, beach is 100 metres away! Rooms are clean and newly refurbished with a very nice design. Nice view from the room and free parking zone. Breakfast was tasty. Family friendly hotel

Easy access to the airport, the hotel is located right in front of the beach and very close to a bus stop that can take you direct to Rome Downtown or to the train station. Rooms are comfortable, large and clean. Staff is efficient and very friendly. Great breakfast and an excellent cost-benefit option to visit the area and Rome. I recommend to stay at this hotel.

we stayed here for a week in june(very warm). the air conditioning needs to be improved. but this was the only thing wrong with this hotel, the staff were wonderful and the breakfast was good (cold meats, cheese, eggs, cereals and breads).rooms are great and the showers were bicycles are available and i used one (30 yrs later)and it was great as there is a cycle path that runs the full length of the beach..this is the only hotel i have stayed in that does not have a bar??. but you can get a glass of wine from the restaurant..there are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and also a supermarket..the train station is a bus ride(1euro) away or a taxi ride(10 euro)but it is a great service for a fare of (1.50 euro)and only 2 stops away... you are at the vatacian (stop san pedro) it is great...also i rang the hotel in advance and for (35 euros) they arranged our airport transfers..superb service.i loved this hoteland the beach and all the restaurants on the beach are to did for..

We booked a four night stay at this hotel (two days before arrival). Never ended up staying here as they cancelled our reservation a few hours later. Apparently the room was not available due to an electrical fault. Weird thing is, they still have rooms available on numerous booking sites.

Arrived exhausted from long day driving and the owner/manager (so sorry forgot her name) did a miracle and found a room for us!!!. Hotel is in dire need of some TLC; restaurant dinner was so-so (we don't expect alot from hotel restaurants anyway but too exhausted to try and find another). Room was quiet with biggest shower in our month of hotels in Italy... beach is just across street. Just do a bit of paint, etc. and I would give it a higher rating...

I was pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was, hadn't read a lot about it but our room with a balcony and sea view was lovely was really nice and homely, the view wasn't the best of the sea but the balcony was nice with deck chairs and a table to sit at. The beach was very nice. totally wasnt expected it as we had not heard much about the beach near Rome. The beach was literally just over road, was very nice! Room was very modern with working AC and comfy bed. Also the shower was massive ! loved it! Was also not far from the airport so was very nice not to travel to far.
