We have met this holiday park on our first day to New Zealand, and after we had spent 7 nights in other holiday parks around this country, we found this Te Anau Lakeview Holiday park is the BEST. It has spacious room for our campervan, (many Top 10 parks are quite small), and it has dump station for each campervan, which is quite luxury for other parks. The kitchen/laundry/shower facilities are in good condition too. And the staff are quite friendly and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is to provide a hair blow dryer for customers.
Had a Fantastic time with the family. And thanks to Roger and lil and staff. Amazing facilities and wonderful views. Couldn't believe the amount of native birds around. Flocks of native wood pigeons absolutely incredible.
We spent two nights on a powered site with our four kids. Nice campsite: clean, great playground, TV and play room. There's an awesome playground in the park next door that all the kids loved (aged 10, 8, 5 and 3), plus super short walk to town. There were two lambs in residence during our stay - the kids got to feed and pat them. The holiday park is right across the road from the lake, and short walk to Te Anau glowworm tour as well. Kids were disappointed that we didn't get to go in the hot tub - all booked out.
We loved our stay. We had a free upgrade as our rooms were not quite ready, and absolutely loved it. Great distance from the town centre with a lovely walk. Motel rooms are well equipped with ehat we needed.
We stayed in a family room overlooking the water, it had fabulous views. The unit was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the cooking facilities. It is central to exploring the local area and we were out most of the time. We did have very noisy neighbours one night but the views in the morning made up for a bad nights sleep.
We stayed for 2 nights and we were so lucky we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom Marakura suites. The room is great and perfect for the 5 of us. The lake and mountains view from the room was superb and amazing. Perfect place to stay in a beautiful country.
This was a fabulous place to stay and offered everything you need. The view was great and a short walk from all the amenities. The main office dealt with all our tourist questions and were extremely helpful. All in all - brilliant!
We stayed overnight at this place in a Family Room with Lake View on our way to Milford Sound. The check in was really smooth. The front office staff was efficient and friendly. The room was big and cozy. It 3 single beds and 1 sofa bed and 1 large double bed. It has everything that a proper hotel offers. The view of the lake was stunning. When we arrived it was already dark but we could still see the beautiful lake and the snow-capped mountains. The next morning was cloudy but we were fortunate enough to see a rainbow that appeared right in the middle of the lake in front of our room. The check out was easy, just drop the key in the check out box and off you go.
We stayed at the holiday park for two nights while we used Te Anau as a staging area for a trip to Milford Sound. The family cabin was actually two connected rooms with a shared bathroom/shower. With two young children, this was more than suitable. The rooms were clean and warm, and the beds were comfortable. The park is walking distance to both the nature reserve (free to visit, so make sure you go) and the town centre (and pub!). The people on the front desk were extremely helpful and were able to assist in providing information about the drive to Milford Sound. We'd definitely stay here again, were we to travel through there again.
Stayed one night in a twin cabin. Cabin? It had all the facilitates of an upmarket motel. Full kitchen, heater on when we arrived, Internet, Sky tv, comfortable lounge chairs. Amazing views out over Lake Te Anau and the mountains. Very helpful staff. Great place to stay.
