Our second time at Filey Bay but the first time in Prospect Cottage. The cottage is situated on a quiet road with plenty of parking nearby. We always found a spot right opposite the cottage.
Prospect Cottage was spotless, more spacious than expected, well designed, well-equipped and attractively decorated throughout. The bedrooms were spacious, the main bed being large and very comfortable with good quality bedding.
The rear facing rooms (master bedroom and lounge) both have french windows which let in plenty of light and overlooked a very pleasant open grassy area where we could throw a ball for the dog.
The development as a whole is very attractive and is pleasant to walk through. In particular we enjoy the easy walk to the beach with the dog without worrying about traffic. We usually walk the couple of miles along the beach to Filey for coffee and bacon sandwiches.
The host was very easy to contact and was prompt with information from start to finish (including Tide Tables). In particular quickly advised us of the options available to us due to extreme weather conditions on our arrival day ie possible cancellation/refund.
On the whole we find it difficult to find any fault and it's very likely that, when we return to The Bay, we shall book Prospect Cottage again.
