Taking a family road trip and ended up at the America's Best Value in Crescent City. A winter storm had been raging in the area for several days and it was wet, windy, and cold. When the manager saw that we had two adults and two teen kids, they offered us a free upgrade from our two queen beds to a suite with a private bedroom. Wow--we were thrilled! No one has ever done that for us before. The room was clean, quiet, and in a very convenient location. The mini-fridge and microwave came in handy. Beautiful little town--would recommend to others looking for a budget stay right on the coast just outside the giant redwood forests.

Had a double queen GROUND LEVEL room. It was very roomy and with the t.v.set up against the outdoor wall, it was quiet. It was clean and didn't smell. Had refrigerator, microwave, flat screen, light white linens. It may be dated, but I enjoyed the large space. Didn't see room fan, did see furnace.( worked well one cold night) Although not the safest city ( Crescent City) I was not bothered and felt safe at hotel.

We had a good experience. It was right on the way that we was going. The room wasn't in the best condition.

Just right to sleep there and not spend daytime as there is nothing to do in that motel. Staff are very good

The first night was extremely peaceful, the second night it was extremely loud. People running up and down the hallway, smoking which lead their smoke into my room through window, yelling or very loud talking, and would get hot in room but no air conditioning. Other than that stay was great.

Reserved a smoking room and paid in advance. Upon arrival I was told a smoking room was not available. I got the impression that they offer smoking rooms but if someone walks in before you they rent it out. I think this is just a technique to keep the hotel full. The room is one step up from camping. Very BASIC!

Rooms and bath rooms were nice and clean. No outside noise, had a good night sleep. beds were comfortable.

The Hotel was by far the worst we have ever stayed in. The sheets were stained, the curtains were stained, we were to have a queen size bed but it was a full it was the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept on. The shower was a shortened bathtub sunken into the floor. The room wasn't clean. We didn't even want to shower there. The toilet ran all night long and there was people out in the parking lot arguing at 3:00 am. We both woke up with a rash on my arms and chest area. We decided not to stay for a second night which we had already paid for. When we were loading up the car their were at least 8 to 10 gang members hanging out in the parking lot. I looked across to the other side of the hotel their were two to three females standing outside one of the rooms dressed appropriately. I wouldn't allow my dogs to stay at this place.

Manager very nice all employees greeted u with smile.we went redwoods, trees of mystery,a day at the beach went to light house

Room is clean, free breakfast was not bad. Only complain was our shower drain was extremely slow and water pressure was very low too. For the money it is not bad, but don't expect more.

This is an older motel-type property but they've done a very nice job is freshening up. Nice amenities and the staff was very cordial. Good location.

friendly staff and a good value. rooms were very clean smell very fresh. The furniture was a little bit old but in good style. The breakfast was very satisfactory.

Overall a good one-night stay that broke up the drive down the coast. I appreciated the good quality wi-fi. Only complaint was the smokers bench right outside my room that woke me up in the morning.

We wanted to spend some time in the southern Oregon and northern California coast to go to the Redwoods and some of the hikes in Oregon. A natural place to spend the night was Crescent City. We were looking for a place to sleep a few hours without spending too much, so we chose this hotel. It had everything you would expect for a budget hotel, everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay again if I make it back to the area. The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast, there was barely anything to eat.

The hotel is pet friendly which I'm sure is the reason why our room smelled of urine. Old and outdated. The bed was very hard. Very noisy at night. We did not enjoy our stay at all.

This is not an up scale hotel. But the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and it is centrally located. Directly across from the fairgrounds and on Highway 101. They allow pets. Prices are reasonable and great if you are looking for a clean place to sleep.

Good clean place with internet and breakfast cereal and fruit. Showers, no tub. Large rooms

The customer service was excellent and rooms where clean and comfy. Enjoyed the pet friendly hotel. Breakfast option could have been a little better but still a great place to stay.

Room was really little, if it was bigger I would have been more comfortable. Staff was great very helpful and nice. Comfortable bed and pillows. Would have been nice to have had a microwave in our room and a little min fridge. We noticed some rooms did have them but not ours so when booking make sure u ask for those. We stayed in room 244 the smallest room they had make sure you don't get that room way to small.

Clean rooms, although outdated. Friendly staff. Did not use breakfast area, Starbucks next door. Problem with door lock malfunction, locked out of room three times in two night stay.
