The coffee maker was broken and one of the wall lights also did not work. the new mattress was too soft for me. the walk-in shower needs to have 2 or 3 disabled handrails.

This retro stay was everything it advertised! The mid century modern debut was spot on and our room was much larger than your average room. The original wood paneling and decor appropriate furniture were awesome. The bathroom was nicely renovated but small. The exterior door used an actual key which was a bit if a safety concern along with exterior subdued that needed to stay open to provide air flow since no ac. However felt safe and location was great across from marina. One warning if you’re a light sleeper. There is a faint horn in the distance coming from marina that sounds every 6 seconds. Did not keep me awake but may some if window needs to be opened. I’d definitely stay here again.

pillows did not offer sufficiently suppot. facilities were little older with a faint musty smell. Still was not something so terrible that would not make me stay again or recommend. The top bed spread had a little stain that made me wonder.

This is maybe my favorite motor Lodge in the entire world. You can hear the waves crash and it is made from one Redwood tree truly historical.

We were able to visit the Grove of the Titans from the Lodge. We love the beautiful Redwood in the rooms and the story of building it in 1957. And the food at Good Harvest Cafe is delicious!! We could not see the TV from bed but the microwave and refrigerator were handy.

It’s literally off the 101 so if you’re going anywhere it’s on that stretch. Literally walking distance from restaurants, it’s across from the Harbor so you can hear the seals, I’m from Palm Springs so it was awesome to see no ac just open the windows and let that sea air in. The owner was wonderful and she was very knowledgeable, it is an older hotel, but there’s a microwave , a fridge and a coffee maker and the bathroom looks vintage. I’m so glad I decided to stay here and I will definitely be back.

Compare to other lodging in Crescent City, this was relatively clean and updated. The mid century style is great. Like many motel styles This is not an exception with the downsides of motels…not so quiet, odd odor, thin towels and old sheets. Overpriced for what you get but it was a holiday weekend and there are very few, if any, hotels (versus motels) in the area, so demand pumps up the price.
