Stayed here couple of nights. Near U of O. Room was clean and spacious. Had a kitchen but we never used the stove top; however, having dishes and cups (not paper cups) was nice as we did use them for warming up food plus food we bought at the grocery store. Front desk staff were very friendly and informative. Nice complimentary breakfast. They also had complimentary "happy hour" with beer/wine and, on the second night, they had pulled chicken (or pork?). I think they offer this for 3 of the 7 nights (Mon-Wed). Parking was convenient. The only thing we didn't like that much was the mattress. It was too soft for us. We like a firmer mattress, but that is an individual preference so just be aware of that if you have a back problem.
I stayed at the Residence Inn Eugene Springfield on November 28th & 29th of this week and all I can say is what an absolute disappointment. I travel 4 days a week for work and only stay on Marriott properties. This location is by far the poorest kept Residence Inn I have ever seen in the 50 states. Popcorn ceilings in the rooms, old carper, outdated showers and a sheet of plywood between the mattress and the boxspring to give it a firm feel. The hallways are coated with old dirty white paint with scuff marks and chips from wall to wall. Rooms have a great desk area for business travelers but that is about it. My sheets were clean but the plywood enhancement to my mattress left me baffled. If you are into fitness, this is NOT the hotel for you. The fitness room is literally a small office with a few cardio machines and the kicker is that the website lists free weights. Check out the picture of the free weights I posted along with this review. It is unreal. The room is so small that you cannot do any strength training without bumping into a wall or someone on the cardio machines. I cannot speak to the 4.5 Review Average for this hotel only to say that they reviews have got to be fake. If you expect any type of excellence from a hotel, do not stay here. It is just a rundown Holiday Inn with the Marriott name on it.
Nice 2 room suite. Good location near the downtown area. Close to the university. There is a hike/ bike trail across the road that runs along the river and a restaurant across the street. It’s a standard property with standard Marriot property amenities. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful when I was looking for sites to see near Eugene. Cleaning folks were also helpful. Would stay again.
This place was good enough for a night. It's always handy to have a frig and microwave. If you're staying here go to Cafe 440 for dinner!! I wish they could make quieter air conditioners but that seems to be a dilemma in most hotels.
We loved this hotel. Staff was very helpful. We stayed on two different times and both rooms were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed chili night and the fire pit. We would definitely recommend this location
I have stayed at this property a couple of times. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the property is generally quiet. The staff has been 100% friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking and the location has lots of trees and a river nearby. The prices tend to be a little high, but are much more reasonable if you get one of the special rates.
Traveling for business in Eugene Oregon and need an extended stay room. Checked out several in the area and found the Marriott to be the best for me. The service is excellent and the people here are so helpful and nice. Love the room. Did not like my first room and they were very helpful in moving me to a room that works for me. Very clean hotel with spa and swimming pool. Gym is ok but small with no bench. Breakfast area is larger than my last Marriott extended stay and the food is ok. Plenty of parking. Only drawbacks would be no walking distance places to eat but good location on the interstates so easy to drive around.
I stay in hotels all the time and this one was average at best. First hotel in years that didn't recognize my Marriott status by either a snack or points or something (I think they just forgot). Then I was irritated that the sofa bed wasn't made. They knew there were five people staying in the room so obviously someone had to sleep on the sofa bed. The water pressure was really low so it was hard to take a shower. Also, at breakfast the milk for the cereal was warm. On a positive note, the fire pit was lovely and my daughter and I had a great time sitting outside and reading.
Good location and spacious room on the third floor. Parking was easy and included. Breakfast was just fine and included too. Overall it was a decent Residence Inn and you ultimately get what you pay for here.
We had a queen one-bedroom for 2 nights (couple and baby.) Hotel staff went out of their way to be accommodating and friendly. The hotel is in a great spot, right across from a local park with lots of interesting and beautiful sights, trees, flowers, plants, and the river walk. Good food options at breakfast. I've been to many a Residence Inn and this ranks at the top!
