Esta encantadora cabaña de troncos original, "River’s Edge", construida en 1910, se encuentra en casi un acre de propiedad frente al río. Cuenta con 3 dormitorios, 1 baño, sala de lavandería, dormitorio principal grande, 2 chimeneas, WiFi gratuito, televisores modernos, reproductores de DVD y VCR con una videoteca. Duerme 6 más 2 niños en el sofá cama en la sala de estar. El gran porche en el porche delantero es excelente para cenar o leer un libro. La propiedad cuenta con una gran terraza con vista al río, una amplia área de fogatas, parrillas de gas y carbón y una bañera de hidromasaje para 6 personas. Búscanos en FB para conocer las actividades durante todo el año: pesca, kayak, tubing, golf, esquí, snowboard, observación de vida salvaje, escalada, ciclismo de montaña y espeleología. We stayed during Christmas week and found the cabin very easy to get to. The power in the area went out during our stay, and the host was quick to respond, which we appreciated. The cabin was clean and very comfortable for two people. The kitchen and bathroom were very nice and well maintained. The upstairs area was a bit uncomfortable for our teenage kids due to the creaky floors and the age of the house, so we all ended up staying in the master bedroom. Overall, I would recommend this cabin for a couple rather than a family.

Cabin is comfortable and clean. Very nice kitchen and bath. Being on the river was wonderful. Only downside was 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are very difficult to maneuver.

A PIECE of HEAVEN

Beautiful original log home. Deck built out on Cheat River for gorgeous views and wildlife. Wonderful fire pit area. Definite location! The home is well equipped with many hospitalities. Awesome hot tub all of property direct views of the river. Fishing was fabulous too!

Cabin seemed very cozy at first until it got cold outside. It was a little drafty, especially upstairs. Glad we brought extra blankets! I did however find that we somehow turned off a switch in the laundry room to one of the baseboard heaters in the living room. Probably wouldn’t have been as cold had we known that. Our kids did not sleep upstairs due to it being cold and a little dusty. The location on the river was great and would have been very enjoyable in warmer weather. The kitchen was nice and had all the things we needed to cook. The laundry room was nice as well. Bathroom was updated with nice size shower but a little cold. Two space heaters were provided which was nice and would have heated the bathroom had I thought of it. Lots of outdoor space and also plenty of firewood for the fireplace!

Cozy cabin, close to many hiking trails. Cabin has everything you need. The bathroom is updated and the shower has nice water pressure. Everything was clean and was great having a large tv above the fireplace in both the living room and bedroom.

Fishing Getaway

We love River's Edge...this was our 6th time visiting. The fishing is great...a big plus for our 3 boys. There are lots of things to do nearby...train ride in Elkins, biking, hiking, Senca Rocks, Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, ect.

The Perfect Getaway!

Our family of four had a super fun and relaxing time at the cabin. The setting is perfect. Quiet and beautiful on the river. The log cabin is awesome, and the hot tub and fire pit and deck were much enjoyed. The scenic mountain train ride out of Elkins is fun! Thank you for the great stay and for the easy communication with host.
