This is a VERY OLD PROPERTY/BUILDING that has had MULTIPLE COATS of paint in an attempt to make it look better (just looks "shoddy" and old"). There was paint "over-spray" on bathroom wall from painting bathroom door. When I made reservation, it was made for 2 Adults for 4 days & 3 nights. When we got to the room there were 2 towels, 2 hand towels, & 2 wash cloths. There was only a half a roll of toilet paper. Sheets washed but stained; and only 1 package of coffee for 2 cup coffee maker. I had to go to office in order to get this stuff to replenish these things each day. APPALLING!
We booked the property unseen. When we arrived it was dark and the doors were locked with only one car in the parking lot. Granted it was apparently off season but I felt like we were in a bad movie. Our expectations were now very low but we were tired and the room was paid in advance. The room was clean and the decor was not updated but it was good for a night. Quiet with Nothing special. People were nice. It does have an onsite restaurant but we did not eat there. Locals eat breakfast there so must be OK.
The lady at the counter didn't seem to know anything about using our "Wyndham Points Reward Program", even after making the 2nd call to her where she had promised to take care of it when we reached the hotel.Needless to say ..we did not receive our points for this stay...However..The room was clean and we didn't have any cleaning person banging on the door first thing in the morning..The beds were comfortable and bug free. One nice asset is that the nice big parking lot is off to the side, where you will not hear anyone starting their engines or talking first thing in the morning..That made for a very restful sleep. Their is also a restaurant right next to the office that definitely serves you plenty of food for the money. And for these reasons alone I gv this place 4 stars
When I booked it said a handicap accessible bathroom with transfer bench and grab bars, the room had 1 bar BEHIND the toilet. If I wasn't so tired and the other local hotels had open accessible rooms I'd have left. Wifi wouldn't connect either. Because of the bathroom issue my mom couldn't take a shower. Not staying here again
Nothing great, nothing horrible to report. Just your average budget-priced motel room. It was clean enough. Bed was comfy enough. It had a fridge and microwave, hairdryer and iron. We had trouble with the lock and had to go to office for a new key. Clerk said that they have had lots of trouble with locks since the last earthquake. That seemed a little strange but the new key worked.
During my 83 years, I have stayed in rooms from New Zealand to Germany. This was by far the least enjoyable room I have ever spent a night in. The room decor was bland and not to my liking, ice machine did not work, bath tub and lavatory were chipped and the caulking was beginning to deteriorate, and the room smelled musty. To top everything off, I killed a roach in the room just before I left. The office was closed when I departed at about four in the morning, so I dropped my key card through a slot in the door and did not complain to the manager. I would have been better off and much more comfortable the next day if I had slept in my car, and the $63.00 the room cost was nearly as much as I spent for the gas I used going all the way from Mesa, Az to Osage Beach, Mo. Believe me when I say that I will never again deliberately stay at a Wyndham Hotel Group facility.
We used bleach wipes to wipe all table and counter tops. We picked up another person's hair off of the bathroom floor. The windows are disgustingly dirty. The curtain backs are peeling off and need to be replaced. The ice bucket and lid are caked with dirt. The bath tub was spray painted and not replaced. The tile above it shows multiple repairs and needs to be replaced. The toilet has been caulked far too much and sits almost sideways. The chrome clothes rack and the chrome towel racks are rusting. The hair dryer is almost brown with dirt. The pool was not used because it is closed, in the month of July. The staff wears whatever clothing that they want. There are employees kids in the office while business is going on. DO NOT STAY HERE!
I fled here after being caught in a freak storm on a scooter ride. After fleeing to shelter, The storm cleared and I raced to this anchorage. The demeanor of the attendant both relaxed and pleased me. almost as much as the mid-week bargain prices. Motels in a given price rqnge are generally the same. Service with grace and humor make thr diffeence.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable (requested a king). The entire hotel is pretty run down though, it's seen better days. The pool was closed up (bummer, I would have loved a good swim). Otherwise, not a bad little place, especially after being on the road for 27 hours!
I have always stayed here and now i dont think I will be giving this Ramada my business. First thing i noticed was animal hair all over comforter. Call front desk and sent someone to change it out. Then the mini frig wasn't working. Then ice machine near room out of order. Then no toilet paper.or toiletries. The over all experience was unsatisfactory.
